Just to close out this thread, Warmane stated that S4 prices would not change until the start of S5.
Also honor would be wiped at prepatch.

so when they release pre-patch, which lasts for 1-2 weeks i think, what is there to do in preparation for wrath?

If you're not leveling a DK then you just set up your talents and log out. If you are leveling a DK since it can't wear the PvP sets anyway you just get boosted in a couple hours and then log out. Common Northrend gear is better than S2 anyway so don't even waste the time.

Why would staff intentionally want to turn prepatch into a literal WotLK waiting room for existing players, and also full of many new highly confused players?
Release S4 gear for honor, just like in WotLK Classic, the only version of the game anyone remembers. Also, what was the point of wiping honor/marks, if it was not to further encourage in-game activity?!
Put yourself in the shoes of actual players of the server ...

Ah right. So yeah, no s4 gear for honor during prepatch AND they wipe all honor when prepatch arrives. Good stuff. Now there's literally not a SINGLE thing to do.

The reasons why Blizzard made that change are obvious. It takes off all the stress of gearing a toon and going into a new expansion. It heavily promotes player activity. It makes walking into Northrend less of an obstacle for casual players. It makes getting alts ready so much easier. And all that is what Onyxia is built around. The gear only lasts till level 75 ish so it's a perfect starter kit.

So honor will be reset, what about marks? Can we stockpile marks and then turn them into honor at lvl80?
