Hunting Time-Lost Proto Drake

just got it on frostwolf server =) sept 26 2012 9:20 pm +8:00 gmt near ulduar spot been hunting it since i played molten seen it 2x and second time was now =) not quite lucky since ive been hunting it for almost 7-8 months but the wait and thrill while hunting it is worthed +) happy hunting =)

finally I kill TLPD! actualy I find him pretty fast.. i was lvling alt and for few minutes I relog on my main... in 5min I found him :D

I was wondering if anyone from horde on lordaeron is farming the Time-Lost proto drake maybe i would gladly ask him a few questions. Maybe someone could also help me. I'm waiting for your responses.I recently began farming the mount but i get the feeling that i'm doing something wrong. Would appreciate some help :)

Good thread. I've been hunting Time-lost for a long while now, came close twice but was unlucky because of roll back and corpse bug. Very hard not to get frustrated with this mount.

Can anyone confirm the respawn timer? I'm pretty sure it's a lot more than one hour sometimes, frankly it seems completely random to me.

Frankly at this point I'm willing to take any help, the toon I need for is Yarikh, on Froswoltf. I'll pay gold for this mount.

Sooooo... I'm camping for TLPD 13 months, first several months I camped on retail spawns and nothing.

Then I started patrolling and I found TLPD and Vyra several times at the spawn poins that are on the threads map, and I can confirm the re spawn time.

Now I g2g back to hunting... I hadn't luck so much...
Once I found TLPD at the engine of makers, there was a Pala too. So I flew above TLPD and used Chimera Shot (so instant kill on Cata) and a millisecond after I fired my arrow Pala tagged him and I killed him... So he got the TLPD...

Additional info: The only place where TLPD doesn't falls trough the ground is right side of the Engine of the Makers.

I just got mine TLPD .


It was easy.. yeah i tried found him for long time but there is a easy guide for this.
If you will find TLPD or Vyragosa death or alive.. kill it.
TLPD or Vyragosa are really spawned after 1 HOUR after despawning dead corpse. so set your alarm if you will find some of them and w8.
I was lucky nobody was in strorm peaks.

FINALLY FOUND MINE HAHA! TOOK TWO WEEKS!

Ironically I only found it until AFTER I gave up. I said screw it to camping all the time and then when at oracles decided to fly, found TLPD dead, someone killed it and sent it ungerground near bor's falls. Came back in an hour after hc, wasn't even in a rush a casual fly by, and found it near temple of storms but not quite the centre of the frozen lake :p.

My heart was beating so fast, i was shaking haha.

After 3 days farming I got it



I have to say that the respawn time is 1:02 hrs yeah... it's not just one hour after the corpse despawns (despawn time = 5:50 mins ) Use a stopwatch o.O

I got mine like 2 days ago, i was thinking "bah that bastard is probably dead..lets get some quests done.." and then "omfg omfg there he is kill it!,kill it with fire!" chimaera shot = loot win!,and like 1 sec later a priest came and started to /spit at me rofl

Just got mine last night.

1 hour spawn timer after despawn of corpse confirmed, once again.
