I resent that comment. Pretty sure my English is better than "that".

Don't be so self-important. Every time me or anyone else says something about America, you immediately take the remark upon yourself.
Linkzor's grammar is truly bad and you know it. This is not the only time he ****s up the things he writes. It's only coincidence that he's from America.... maybe.
I'm not. I'm making the point that you shouldn't generalize. Just like I shouldn't generalize that everyone that lives outside the US is an uncivilized barbarian.
Edit: Also, why shouldn't I consider myself of importance?
There is Truth within Generalization - Ted Lang
It's something to generalize based on a fact, another thing to generalize in spite of something. Let's just drop it; I won't change my opinion and you won't admit that America is full of illiterates.
You should consider yourself important, but you shouldn't be this self-important. It's a little difference here.
But you do say such things in spite of it. Also, I'm not denying that America is full of illiterate people. I've witnessed first-hand just how bad it really is from the perspective of a person that isn't (myself; If I say so myself). But that's besides the point. The point is that not everyone is illiterate, and generalizing implies that isn't true.
Be that as it may, I still await enlightenment upon the subject.
And yet these self-entitled people have the guts to tell me "my english is better than urs cuz i'm frm america suk it sea monkey" just because they were born and raised in "the land where English came from". Oh, please.
Of course not everyone is illiterate. But I can't say who is illiterate and who is not in a country of some 313 million people. I'm just saying that the ratio is far greater in America than in many of European countries. There is illiteracy in every country in the world. Every country in existence has at least 1 illiterate human being.
But there are quite a few facts about America, and I'm not talking about numbers alone (America being a pretty populous country by itself). I'm talking about percentages and ratios. For a country that collectively believes itself to be the pinnacle of civilization and "the best country in the world", the truth is alarming.
Don't get me wrong. I like America, a great lot of my relatives and friends are either FROM America or living in America and I truly wish to live there for at least a few years and explore it. But that doesn't mean I can't say anything about it.
I never criticize another person's use of language unless they are correcting someone else, or they have shown me that they want it or appreciate it.
I don't mind people having the ability to say something about it. What bothers me is when people act like they must whenever the country is mentioned. I'm not going to argue statistics or facts, simply because I do not know of any without a shadow of a doubt, outside of my own experiences. Nor do I care to refute them, since I know many of them are probably true.
I guess what I'm saying is, it bothers me that so many people like to **** talk about my country, yet I've never given a thought to talk **** about anyone else's.
Edit: Also, when it comes right down to it, it feels like I'm being put in a kennel with all the "fat and illiterate Americans".
Edit#2: I'll add a confession here, though it may already be somewhat obvious. I'm rather insecure and have a low self-esteem.
Oh well. ?»\_(ツ)_/?»
And yet a lot of English people are bad at using their own language.
It's ironic, really. I mean, U.S.A. usually declares war against or interferes with internal affairs of other countries because of reasons such as "You caused a genocide", "We're protecting human rights", "If you don't allow freedom of speech, you shall feel our wrath" etc. But if you say a single word about the ethnical massacre and oppression of American Indians, you are accused with defaming the almighty and glorious U.S.A. and it's residents with false claims and lies. If you're an U.S.A. citizen you're also accused with treason, of course. Then you're judged and put to prison for years because, you know, 'freedom of speech' and 'human rights'.
I love how people only manage to see faults in the US, while their countries are safe behind their ignorance.
Yeah, the US is pretty ****ed up. So is Turkey, the Netherlands, Croatia, Serbia. Quit being such ****ing hypocrites.
