I love my country with all its shortcomings. No place in the world is a utopia, sadly or fortunately, depends on your opinions. America has a lot of flaws, but then again, aren't all countries flawed in their own way? Intentionally looking and mentioning those flaws will not make much of a difference in the grand scheme of things, nor will ignoring them.
A country's border is nothing but a line on a map, with today's liberties. We all live in a grand society and even though one single person can't make much change, I think 'tis our duty to better ourselves individually, in order to better the society as a whole.

Sorry for the rant, just felt like putting this in here.

Yeah, the US is pretty ****ed up. So is Turkey, the Netherlands, Croatia, Serbia. Quit being such ****ing hypocrites.

Oh, so you know your country is just as much, if not more, of a ****hole than the US, you just fail to say anything bad about it, and can only bash the United States.

Makes sense. "My country sucks, I'm just going to ignore it and make fun of this country."

Joining a protest is more effective than saying something on a forum in my opinion. And as I said, I joined the protests in Turkey, and everyone who joined had quite a lot to say about the current way of things in Turkey. Of course, we couldn't say much when the police started to beat us senseless and sprayed pepper gas like hell. Still, it's better than sitting in bliss and saying "U.S.A. is ****ed up but so are a lot of other countries, so I guess I'll just sit my *** and don't say a thing about it!", wouldn't you agree?

I say plenty about how ****ty and ****ed up some of the things in the US are. It seems like a lot of people from the United States do that, but you don't see people from European/Asian countries doing that. Take Mirmir for example, he's willing to say whatever he wants about the US, but fails to admit that Vvar-whatever is a ****hole too. But of course, the US always gets singled out, whether it be out of jealousy or hate.

Compared to Turkey, the US is pretty blissful. I don't have to worry about people breaking into and seizing my home, murdering my family because I spoke out against the government, or being beat to a bloody pulp in some street riot because my government is filled with a bunch of asshats.

(That being said, the US government is filled with a bunch of asshats, but the Democratic asshats and Republican asshats can never agree on anything, so their asshat-ery ends up cancelling each other out due to the fact that nothing ever gets done)

There's a huge difference. People in Romania never claim that we are the center of the world, you never hear us say "Romania f*ck yeah b*tches" and you don't hear us yelling loud and proud how awesome our country is and how everyone should bow at our feet. With a dash of exaggeration, but I think I got my point across.
