Screw your no mans sky plans, buy starbound and we roll.
After reading that No Mans Sky can be finished in 30 hours I'm pretty sure I'm not buying it. lol.
You gotta keep in mind that the guy ignored literally everything that was possible to ignore and just went straight for the middle of the universe. He didn't explore, he didn't learn new languages, nothing. 30 hours for basicly ignoring everything is quite a large number, I would expect a normal play through to be 60-90 hours.
The website where I've read that article didn't make any kind of reference to what you've just said. I'll take your word instead then. I'm just wondering if it's a game that it's actually worth buying for the PS4 system.
I read that on gamestar.de, which is a German gaming magazine. We are talking about the guy who spend 1300 bucks on a leaked ps4 copy and uploaded multiple videos, right? If we talk about the same guy, then yes that's what I heard from the news.
Yes, we're talking about the same guy. On the portuguese version of Eurogamer they didn't state that he rushed the content at all. They've only stated that he finished the game in 30 hours and that he was dissapointed with the game as a whole.
Doesn't seem he can fairly judge the game if that's how he went about it.
But anyway, English article on it: http://www.polygon.com/2016/8/1/1234...niverse-galaxy
"Importantly, Daymeeuhn reached the center of the galaxy with some help. He found an in-game item that commands a steep price in the galactic market. After selling it, he put the money toward upgrades that significantly sped up his means of travel and exploration."
Sounds, um.. fair.

This two quotes from that article got my attention;
"Contrary to what a lot of people think, I have done A LOT of what the game has to offer," he wrote. "I actually intentionally took time out of my warp jumping over the course of going to the middle to explore planets to break up the monotony of it. This does not mean I have done all of the major events, however.""PRAY for a Day 1 patch, not only to nerf the sale cost" of the item, "but also to address some of this **** [meaning bugs] too," he wrote.
Yeah, I thought it was amusing how the guy revealed that he essentially exploited a flaw in the game to get an advanced warp drive, then goes and claims that he didn't just tunnel-vision his way to the center of the galaxy.
"I cheated to get the best possible engines/ship so I could warp jump the greatest distances, but I did visit planets on occassion to deal with the monotony of tunnel-vision to the galaxy's center."

I don't know if you remember but one of the games that went through the exact same situation was the game Spore.
A lot of people bashed how the game was short 'cause you could just rush and have everything that you had to grind for in a matter of few hours. However that game was and still is one of my favorite games thanks to the ridiculous ammount of time of gameplay you can have.

Project skins got released today...
Threw money at Rito.
And still no Overdrive box to get my Yasuo First Strike Border :(
Yasuo shouldnt touch a good Azir player... boosted chicken.
Neither Azir nor Yasuo players should ever have a say in this game. They're up there with Riven, Lee Sin and Vayne players.
