Well, the thing is that bashing Romania is not going to affect me because I KNOW and ACCEPT the fact (it is an actual fact) that Romania is a **** hole, unlike most Americans that still claim that America is the promised land, as if we where 300something years ago come again.

Also, these things (like the European cultural capital shizzle) are taken care of in advance. The fact that my city won this... "contest" proves something.

edit: Sibiu (another Romanian city) was the European cultural capital of 2007.

Personally I as an asian myself I have observed that Asians tend to focus on more precise fields like Mathematics, Science, and Medicine. This is not due to any genetics, but to the way most Parents view what are respectable fields. Most asian parents would not like their children to be artists musicians etc (Although some do exist). Whether a person is smart or not depends on your definition of smart. Asian's are smart in the bookish sense i.e. Mathematics and sciences, but some usually lack Street Smarts and Social Smarts (Compared to most european and American counterparts). This is usually due to their parent's parenting style focusing more on academic achievement.

Side note most other Asian's I have met tend to be more clingy in a relationship, and tend to be more sensitive when money is involved

Seriously, almost all the Asians I know are proficient with the piano or violin, but yes AP Calc BC in 12th grade seems to be a requirement for most of them.

Yes most know an instrument due to it being very good resume material for college (Parents for them). But Most will never pursue a Degree in Music or Arts (Some do but few)(Parents highly frown upon it).

True. Being well rounded is very important to them.
