1. Rather, I think it is the sloppy mess that Blizzard made about the decision on flying. It took almost 3 major patches into the game before Flying was considered. Even when it was announced, Blizzard delayed flying even more in the PTR by making the excuse of "having bugs". The fact that we only have a few months to experience flying on live realms makes it seem like the value of getting flying just to fly for a few months for Legion comes out is just bull****.
    The reason why it was a mess is because blizzard didn't even consider flying it's just the pissy players who kept crying for it and claiming false things like if blizzard said they would add flying when they actually didn't which made lots of drama and confusion for a simple feature which honestly i don't care or mind about(if you want to fly go back to northrend,pandaria,outland,azeroth) hell if you hate draenor why would you want to fly there so much?

  2. What do you mean Pre-req for flying is the best idea ever put in WoW since tbc,people have to actually work for it rather than just buy it,gold has been generated in millions in WoD because of garrisons so putting a gold wall behind it would be totally useless
    I could understand most of the requisites to fly, such as finding treasures, explore the map and do all questlines. But what the hell Reputation has to do with flying? I had all requisites to fly in Draenor except Revered with the 3 new factions from Tanaan which i found ridiculous.

    a simple feature which honestly i don't care or mind about(if you want to fly go back to northrend,pandaria,outland,azeroth) hell if you hate draenor why would you want to fly there so much?
    YOU don't care, doesnt mean everybody else thinks the same. Why the hell I will keep flying where I already checked every corner? I want to fly in a new place which is Draenor, a zone that is FULL of things in unreachable places. Especially big trees. The only reason I hate Draenor so far is not being able to fly.

  3. To answer ( why did WoD "fail" ) I think WoD didn't fail because it hasn't ended up as Rift where that project literally failed. WoD is still enjoyed by some and admittedly it isn't a total fail so calling it a fail ...I'd rather put "why was WoD a disappointment for me?".

    The reason why I attack this "WoD failed us" or "When the lich king died, WoW died with it" because it's non-sense. 3 years after Wowwlk wow still runs above 5 million. that means 5,000,000 people were willing to pay 15 per a month to play the game. If people are willing to play WoW which has a subscription fee model then surely it has not failed. To this day, people were willing to play through the game to level 100. I mean there are many reasons to counter your arguement about WoD failing. Lets face it till the day arises where WoW ceases to have millions and ends up as hundreds...we will then know WoW has failed.

  4. From what I hear it was the Garrisons that ruined it a lot. But PVErs are quite happy with the content (except that it was bit too short). PVPers as usual has complaints.

    Also what I dont get: When we had flaying people kept saying that flying ruined world pvp and immersion ... but when Blizz listened and made changes, the opposing views came out of the woodwork and proponents disappeared.

    PS Do note every expansion fails after Vanilla wow. ;)

    ''PS Do note every expansion fails after Vanilla wow. ;)''

    Not true.

  6. Subs hit the top late WOTLK. With Cata begins the falling.Its obvious here too, 2 pretty populated WOTLK servers, going for 3rd.Cata has 1 server with less people online compared to any of the 2 WOTLK and MoP is populated only because is the new thing in warmane, put WoD and MoP will follow Cata into oblivion.WOTLK has Arthas for the ultimate badass which alot of the players know from War3 FT just like Illidan in BC and after that a dragon, orc leader goes wild, chase him bla bla bla.You get the feeling thats like the tv series which try to squeeze one more season for profit with poor ideas.Patch after patch every class can do that, every race can be this and at one moment you will have tauren rogue.RDF from everywhere, flying mounts and you kinda start thinking that wow world aint so big, cause you can do everything staying in og/sw. Or maybe is just a staff thing, competent people get fired, *****s get hired.

  7. ''PS Do note every expansion fails after Vanilla wow. ;)''

    Not true.
    I was being sarcastic ... The thing is that WoW millions of players with different tastes, thus everything will be either Epic or Fail for some people or the other. There ever wont be unanimous opinion. That is why I think its important to have fun instead of seeking validation from others.

  8. Not allowing flying in the new areas on WoD is simply blizzard being lazy. It is easier for them to develop a nice balanced progression in new areas when people cannot fly around to "cut the line". Pure laziness as the same experience can be done with flying but they have to think harder. It just shows that blizzard stopped really putting any effort into the game long before subscriptions started to drop off. Wow isn't dying because people are leaving which causes less development, quite the opposite. Blizzard stopped putting effort into the development causing subscriptions to drop off. They phoned-it-in on the expansion, and subscriptions show that.

    Blizzard is making tons on the new games, much more than they expected, and are simply going through the motions on the tail end of the world of warcraft development road-map. Everything is according to plan, and its not a suprise to them how many subscriptions have dropped off, they predicted it quite closely. I just hope their road map forces a free-to-play feature sooner than later, so the rest of the mmo world will be forced to adapt faster to that on each new game. You realize blizzard is the only game company to ALWAYS continue to offer their internet games. Ancient blizzard games you can still play online to this day. Maybe companies like EA and Microsoft should learn from this. This is an unparalleled level of customer service.

    What will it do to the private server world when blizzard goes free to play? Many private servers will start to die off, the ones that will survive will be the ones that embrace what makes them different from the free blizzard offering: 1.) older expansions 2.) no such thing as 1x rates on anything 3.) custom content. Its not as important to focus on those right now, but later it will be paramount. Private servers that survive will be those that are as different from the blizzlike experience as possible. Blizzlike will be a dirty word in the private server universe.

  9. For me to be honest Blizzard screwed everything after TBC maybe even Cataclysm by allowing flying mounts and by making the game more casual and Facebook alike with this garrison.

  10. -- Professions felt obsolete.

    -- The only content we received post launch was a zone (It was just a grind beyond compare) and a raid. and mythic dungeons? dont make me laugh. it was just hc with a little more damage which honostly wasnt TOO bad. but the hype died intantaneously when people found out they were just the hcs of patch 6.2.

    -- Garrisons. they were cool at first. then you realize 60-80% of the population existed within theit garrison at any given time.

    -- Ashran failed miserably, but of course thats what happens when you dont do larger scale internal testing on large pvp zones.

    -- Ashran continues to fail and has had no changes since launch. (queue times are STILL [i shouldnt have to use that word] over 2 hours)

    -- The 6.1 heirloom tab patch..... i mean "content" patch. thats not a content patch.

    ->>>>>>>>>>>Half the content shown in the unveiling never even made it into the game <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

    -- While flexible raid finder is nice [though raid finder in itself has been plauging the game with its aura of "uuuuughhhhh"]. 4/5 times youre going to just get 1 tank and wait another 10-30 minutes. Why did blizz program it to only give one tank. who knows.

    -- Khadgar killing people who fly over him. hes the only bird allowed.

    -- Supreme lord kezzak (Its so hard to wipe on this guy, anyone remember the fun times with drov the ruiner. now THAT was a boss)

    -- garrison guild halls were scrapped because (and i paraphrase here) "we didnt want to promote isolation" which.....is exactly what is plaguing us right now...

    -- Karabor/BS are completely empty aside from around 10-20 npcs overall. RIP immersive rp.

    -- No factions have anything thats entirely worthwile the grind. it tends to just end up as "oh. cool. i got a follower. for like 5k gold."

    -- PVP (thank god for Legion's new pvp system)

    --no level 100 quest chains.

    -- With the success of the first timewalking event, blizzard made no effort to save 6.2 with a timewalking port, allowing players to enjoy old content once again.
    (yes, i feel like timewalking was a success from a tanking perspective, those mobs hit hard... but then we have to wait 2 weeks to enjoy it again. and there were only 5 instances for each)

    -- the follower system has been and still is far more grindy than tanaan jungle. as an understatement. and who has EVER felt a sense of accomplishment sending a follower out.

    --All the fun skills and niche utility skills on ALL classes were removed. dunno why...... i mean... isnt that just taking content away for no apparent reason. these skills dont break the game, they might cluttter your bar, but thats your choice.

    --despite this long list, there were also many positives i could list. do the negatives outweigh the positives? in my opinion, yes. sometimes i stare at the screeen and think "well i did my hellfire citadel runs for the week. i guess i could do them again." because theres no other benefiting instance at ALL.

  11. I haven't played WOD so my observations is based on videos, what I've read and me being a casual player:

    Patch 6.2.x will be the end of WOD compared to previous expansions going to even .4 so there's a lot of content missing.
    Timewalker is an awesome idea, just too bad you can't do it when you want to.
    Removal of flying is utter crap, either make teleporters or add flying from day 1 because I hate flight paths pathing.
    Garrisons seem cool, but by the sound of it, it took away the MMO part of the game.
    Mythic is cool, but I don't like that you have to be god mode PVE'er and in endgame guilds to get the best gear available, Mythic should be heroic gear, just the content should be made harder for hardcore players to enjoy.
    PVP, no comment as there's almost no videos uploaded so I'm guessing it sucks ballz.
    A general note, I hate that you now MUST wear PVP gear in PVP otherwise you'll fail, everybody's wearing the same crap so there's no room for uniqueness.

    There's more, but I'm no longer excited to type

  12. I will explain pve for you?
    There are 3 base events.. Boss hp, time, and player position.
    When you reach boss script starts:
    ---> If boss requires time some script will start timer() class or method.
    -->if boss requires hp status ******** *** *** **** ** ****.
    --> Position for spells will use spell location and Pythagorean for 3d or 2d if you fighjt on plane..
    Lets guess boss got timer () and hp() check
    ---> Attack start timer and event cycle(while, for or do while) for event checking.
    ---> then script works like
    ---------------->If(boss_Hp>1000000 && boss_Hp<5000000){execute some comand)
    -----> else if(another condition)[
    }
    else{};
    ---------->if(timer().now>1000 && position &&..){// can be ms
    do something;reset timer if required or keep for another statement
    }else if();
    else{};
    THAT'S WHY YOUR ad-dons and guides works.

    But for skilled fight boss must act like ...
    Random function; Timer;Hp;Position;
    int x;
    If(Hp>1000){
    x=rand(1..10);
    switch(x){
    ..case 1:
    do something

    break;
    ..case 2:
    do something
    -------------And in case another random variable lets say int y=rand(1...20)
    ----------------------Switch(y){
    -----------------------------case 1:
    .................................If(time!=1000 && postion==pythagor() ){

    ...............................}
    --------------------------- break;
    .---------}
    }
    break;

    ..case 3:
    do something

    break;
    ..case ...10:
    do something

    break;
    default:

    break;

    }

    }

    And now without knowing players requires logic, fast thinking and reaction. Instead of ad-don "move left" - ok sir, "go away" or timer "boss will cast after 10 seconds prepare". Go and get ad-don for pvp which will tell when players will do something, you can predict possible moves when he got cool downs and that's all .
    *cough* Sinestra in Bastion *cough*

    Orb targets ?

  13. I haven't played WoD at all, but even if I haven't I've been quite shocked by how they wasted all the potential this expansion seemed to have at its launch. When I've red that Ner'zul was just the ending boss of a 5 man dungeon I was like..... WTF? He is supposed to be the best shaman who has ever lived and they couldn't manage to create a proper storyline around him, in order to dedicate a whole raid to such an important character? Maybe, with a proper content management they wouldn't feel the need to recycle Archimonde as a final boss. The way they turned out Grommash from being the main leader of the Iron Horde to the best friend of every Dreanor living form has been quite ridicolous. And the poor Kargath Bladefist has become the first boss of the easier raid of the expansion, which nobody gives a **** anymore. They worked so much around the storyline of every single warlords, with those videos made just to tell their story. Such a waste. Warlords of Dreanor? They should rename it Failords of Dreanor.
