Even a certain staff member here thinks men are misogynistic bastards.
This part got me curious. Who are you talking about, especially when you say "here," which I assume is in this thread? Since only two females with Staff colors have posted, and both of them have or have had boyfriends, I'm curious about where that came from.

He was referencing me with that. Took what I said completely out of context too, since my post was aimed at one talking about the sometimes toxic male community within online gaming and how it sometimes puts off females from exploring some games, as such Call of Duty being one I gave as example.

I did similar in my posts as well. But I think it's just bait, personally. And if he's serious about it, then case-in-point.

I didn't mean to offend you or anything, just felt your statement was very generalized. Also every community will have trolls, it's best to ignore them and focus on the positives.
I've played games since I was old enough to learn how to turn the game machines on...Atari, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega, etc...I've also played WoW for over 10 years, on retail and on many private servers and I played Perfect World for years and a few other random online games. I never had anybody give any reaction to me being a female, everybody talked to me normally, always perfectly nice and nobody ever questioned my gender either. Until I started playing here. I don't know why this server is so different, but females are hated by most of the community. On top of the "women belong in the kitchen" comments I mentioned earlier, I've been told some pretty disturbing things, including quite a few people begging me to kill myself. Not because I did anything bad, but because they found out that I was a female...nobody ever has any problems with me until they find that out. But that will never stop me from playing games and having fun.

Because many older females like moms play phone games like mad, and these statistics include phone games and apps within the "gamer" demographic as well. However, genuine gamers know that teenage and young adult males are still the largest demographic, with teenage girls slowly reaching up.
When i first started to play here, i was quite open about my gender, i guess i liked that people referred to me as a she not as a he. Anyway on the way, people who were in the same guild as me and who i didn't usually talk with, started to make sexist jokes and well it started to bother me that some didn't treat me as equal and that it was okey to make those kind of lame gender based jokes. Over the years i did have my fair share of harassers. From people who seemed so normal at first, then turned out to be complete weirdos and imbeciles. I like to swear in game, talk dirty or make dirty jokes, but there were people who mentioned a girl shouldn't talk like that or be like that. Anyway i don't mention my gender in game like i did at the start, because i feel like i wouldn't be treated as the same way as others, but then again i don't really care that much about it, to talk about it with people i do not know in game. Now i mostly play wow together with people who i have been playing wow for over 4 years now. Why should you even care what someone says on an online game anyway.
Well you don't ever see female's playing in TI5, the worlds biggest prizepool for esports. And also I cannot recall a time when a girl playing in blizzcon for pvp. There are barely any good women playing pvp on the Cata realms simply because it's too much violence.
And to get scientific. Men were born with more survival skills, just like black people have stronger physical abilities because they are born with longer limbs.
IMO, girls just don't try hard enough, I think there are tons of girls that could be professional gamers but feel like because of society it wouldn't be accepted that much.

You really shouldn't fool yourself with such nonsensical notions. Not wanting to be competitive does not equate to inability to be competitive.
The world is concerned far too much with who has which set of wonder-boom-boom genitalia and putting it on a pedestal and then making assumptions that are worthless to the real world. I personally identify as a snowman with a double-carrot nose and I believe I'm part of the imaginary demographic.

People bother with that **** way too much, we're here to play the ****ing game, not to bother what's in other people's pants.
Also, I'm a trigendered feminazi rainbow horse. 'Sup
