1. Orcs who didnt drink the Blood ,ie, Orgrim, Frostwolf Clan etc were uncorrupted one and they kept a brownish tint (Movie goers wont be able to differentiate so they over exaggerated the details I guess) but their offspring was affected due to exposure to fel energy.

Also from what I guess is that the Orcish rebellion within the clans (Orgrim and Durotan was kinda planning to overthrow Blackhand and the Shadow Council) is extended in the movie plot to include cooperation with the Alliance.

Its not so far out the canon plot to be bad. But lets see.

No that isn't true. All of the Orcs were effect by the fel energy from the corrupted, not just their offspring. This is why Garrosh was sent away. His clan gladly drank Mannaroths blood. The corruption was viral in away and the Frostwolf clan defiently became corrupted. Look at Drektar and even Durotan, he was greenskinned and corrupted at his death .

  2. Well the movie is based on the Warcraft 1, with some changes, and some additions from the current WoW. They said it the best on Blizzcon, the movie is for all Warcraft fans, but they also had to somehow find a way to introduce the movie to normal audiences who never heard of Warcraft.

As for the CGI, ppl need to chill about it, the movies comes out in like 7 months, CGI can be polished fine by then, just remember the Jurassic World trailer and how everyone was ****ting on it because of bad CGI dinosaurs, but in the movie it all looked fine.

But I got to say the part with lil' Thrall being sent down the river like Moses was funny tho, no need for that, but w/e.
And that's ****ed up. We've been waiting for this movie since 2006, why the **** arent they making their target audience the fans of the lore instead of swagfag teenagers who are going to ruin WoW then forget about it within 2 months? Ruin the first movie for the actual fans and you're going to end up like every Halo movie I pass; ignored.

HOWEVER, I had the idea that the movie may follow the in-game lore and pick up from WoD and coincide with Legion. See, if we look at the lore, right now a lot of time traveling has been going on, and the focus point of the Orcs defiently seems like preservation, and their were corrupted Orcs in the trailer.

Could we be dealing with a ruse? The Frostwolf clan abandoned their Iron Horde time that was invaded by Garrosh and returned to Azeroth previous an orc invasion, creating a looped timeline that the directors could alter/work with?

If that's not the case and they don't tie it together well, its going to be full of flaws and too cringe worthy for me. I love the lore, not Hollywood movies.

I might have not read your post properly but I would like to clarity that Garrosh was uncorrupted, left out from the war because he was suffering with red pox when his father Grom Hellscream fought the war and drank demon blood. And Durotan was never green the last time I checked

I agree about the 1st part of your post, but still no matter how much Blizz loves its fans, and wants a good lore movie just for them, that would just be impossible, cause Blizz isn't alone in this, and its partners *cough Legendary cough* above all want profit aka $$$ aka dat dinero. This is why they were looking for a director for such a long time, until Duncan Jones came in, laid down a perfect mix for both sides, and they approved the movie.

For 2nd part, they have plans for that no doubt, this movie was first titled "Warcraft: The Beginning" so they had in mind some sequels, probably to follow the other Warcraft parts, until eventually catching up to the current WoW story line, and all this, again depends how well this movie does, I'd say they at least expect it to earn 3x of its budget for them to give a green light for a sequel, and the budget for this one is around 100 mil.

  5. the cgi 'currently' looks like crap. but i'll be lining up to watch the damn thing regardless. fak torrenting. i waited in a long *** line for vanilla wow, i'll do the same for this movie

No .. Garrosh was sent away because he had red pox and that was before drinking the blood.

Yes the excess fel energy changed the non drinking Orcs but that was slowly over the years thus they still had a brownish tint compared to those who actually drank the blood, the latter had vivid green skin with red glowing eyes. Its a small difference that most people can not differentiate so has to be exaggerated.

You misunderstood me cause I wrote badly. Lol. I meant this is why Garrosh is still red because he was sent away. Even being around the other corrupted Orcs made you become corrupted.

As for Durotan never being green, google his TCG and read the books. He was defiantly green and corrupted.

Fel magic is like the plague or radiation, it effects everyone whose even near it. Durotan and both his wife, and mostly anyone who fought with the corrupted Orcs would have became corrupted by association/contact/ just being near them.

I read the books and basing it on it. Durring the desolate years after the Drenai Wars there was chapter where Orgrim and Durotan was talking and Durotan observed that he and Orgrim that while every orc was greenish both he and Orgeim was more brown than green.

But now try to understand what I am saying: Many WoW fans and I mean many are lore ignorant and wont understand the difference and visual representation with in the movie is important thus they are overexxagarating Durotan's uncorrupted traits.

Also no Durotan and Frost wolves are as much corrupted as the typical blood elf (Minor physical transformation only) .... they never drank the blood and thus never fell under the curse lost their minds to the bloodlust.

PS TCG may not be canon.

  9. hey, dont mind the cgi. Even if this movie were made like the WoD's Lords of War or MoP's burden of shaohao animation, i will still watch it.
