It would definitely improve gameplay if it were removed or fixed. Personally I don't use any kind of consumables because I prefer to play legitimately, but I guess some people prefer to play more cowardly. I guess to each their own unless it gets changed.

I would sure feel silly thinking I did a good job at killing someone after using a free action potion though. You are announcing to everyone that you require a handicap. I would be pretty embarrassed about doing that.

Where did you get that information from? There`s some stuff about how they nerfed it with Cata, but for WotLK the buff should last for the entire 30 seconds, even if you`re 80. That`s working as intended.

Cataclysm Patch 4.0.6 (2011-02-08): Free Action Potion now lasts 30 sec if the player is level 80 or lower. For higher levels, the duration is equal to [ 30 - (Player Level - 80) * 4 ], that's 10 sec at level 85 if you suck at maths.

EDIT: Didn't notice that "that's 10 sec at level 85 if you suck at maths," that doesn't seem very Blizzard-like, but either way, there's a lot of stuff online about it being nerfed in 4.0.6.
