The sad reality is that people still feed themselves with the theory that everything is working as intended. Living in a daily delusion where the end-game content works as it should; Only believing in one side of the story has the long history of taking you to wrong paths and wrong decisions. That's what's happening here. I can and I could be even more extense in my post but I also have a common sense and a moral standard that tells me that I should be superior to certain and specific situations.

I'll rephrase it; My frustration doesn't pay off at the end of the day; Neither I have the patience to deal with others people concerns and egos. I already have kids of my own blood to take care off and that's enough for me.
Yep that's what made me finally decide to quit. I'll be the first to admit I'd be much less of an *** if they'd at least accept the constructive criticism or suggestions that some of us have offered that would at least mitigate some of the situations that all of the community has to deal with based on decisions made by the staff.

There's other things I could point out but I'll let it rest. RDF queues were popping just fine at the beginning of the new core. It wasn't until hot fixes started getting pushed out that the queue system really took a hit and then slowly it started bleeding over into the dungeons themselves. This is why you don't use a production realm (Icecrown) for live testing *cough cough* head dev post confirmed.*cough cough*

What bothered me was the prioritizing of fixing 5 mans over investigating why things were breaking in the raids. This is Icecrown not Lordearon. It's not to say that 5 mans aren't important, but the people playing on Icecrown are playing there to raid and enjoy the end tier content. So when I'm seeing decisions being made to do pretty much anything BUT working on the end tier raids (ICC and RS) then something is seriously wrong.

Things have slowly gotten better but stuff still slips through and breaks far more frequently than it should and I'm sorry to say despite it's problems and potential for exploiting (even on the new core) at least you could clear **** on the old core. The reason why it's upsetting that change logs don't get posted immediately after a patch is because it makes it VERY difficult to try and determine what fix might have broken what and why. The last few change logs I've seen posted were clearly outdated because some of the claimed "fixes" were already broken again and I felt like I was looking more at a 'to-do' list. I guess they enjoy creating more work for themselves to stay busy when they could be much more efficient if they did it right and at least attempted to follow the System Development Life Cycle. I've offered more than enough suggestions but they're not interested in listening. Maybe that's just the analyst in me being an autist, but I'm a firm believer in identifying the root cause of a problem and fixing it, not duck taping it with a workaround that's going to break the next time you make changes again.

Rant aside, for those posters who mentioned they don't have a lot of free time to play or raid then the server is a good place to be but you'll definitely start to feel it and notice it if you start trying to attempt heroic ICC or RS.

I totally agree with you(kasumii), i've been on Molten, current Warmane probably the longest time of players who actually still play and i always had respect for Kaer i've never left to play on a diffrent server, which doesnt need to be named. I've been here when they first released ICC back than when we only had Marrow and Lady, but as in it current state this is the worst year of Molten(Warmane), terrible scripting, i've not left after i lost everything i've worked for past 6-7 years because i trusted in Kaer, but slowly im losing my patience and my trust in them, i do understand it takes long *** time for everything to work properly, but not being able to do LK25HC/RS25HC for past 2-3 months is just not acceptable, not on private servers with 1k players, especially not on the biggest on out there. Before the wipe i loved to donate here and there just to help them out, but currently and as of now, ill not spend a dime on this private server ever again. The realm in the current state is not worth donating for, they dont care about our wishes or our needs, people like me LOVE to do the quests and some of us what to get Loremaster, but we cant as Shadowmoon Valley has been bugged after the release of new core and they just dont care about it, fine dont fix the quests, but FIXING 5MANS and fixing ADDS in ICC over properly scripting LK/HALION, give me a break.

Just my 2cent, sorry for my grammar, peace.

I gave up on trying HC ICC because of all the bugs that are present in it. And Halion... I reported the ray starting too early - first ray should start @30sec, then rotate on 15sec. Instead it starts @15sec, with DBM not being helpful because it uses retail timers. I've had soooooooo many deaths and wipes on that encounter because people just don't know when to get inside on P2 and have to count the twilight cutter's timer MANUALLY, which is just insane. That report was like months old and I already forgot what happened to it, but never saw a fix in the changelogs. Sometimes 2nd boss hits marked ppl in the water, instakilling them, unless they can use some kind of strong defensive cooldown (AMS, Ice Block etc). Imagine the boss marking both healers, who then proceed to go into the water, only to die anyway, which results into a senseless wipe from an otherwise easy boss...

    Things like that...

I assume that most people have no idea how the raids/dungeons are supposed to look like to begin with so they just assume that everything is working as it should and the server is 99% scripted, like magaginho said. There are many "casuals" afterall who won't ever get to see the LK or Halion 25 HC, so it doesn't bother them that this content isn't doable.

I trusted warmane, when they said that they will listen to the community and finally make WotLK decent. I've raided ICC on the new core every week and it was frustrating to say the least, you all know why. And RS made me cry a little bit inside. So I've decided to quit raiding for a while, focus on more casual content like RDF which turned out to be as frustrating as raiding with the solo queue bugged at first and now the instance IDs... let's not even mention weekly quests, loremaster and VoA ;p
It's pointless to adress any issues on the forums, we could be as well talking to a wall. Some players really make valid points in their long, detailed posts and you can see that they care and want to help the server, but they're being totally ignored by the staff or get some ctr+c ctrl+v answers, it's infuriating. And say sth that they really don't like - you'll get banned.
It's a shame, really, because there are no real alternatives for WotLK.

Let's be real, there were not, are not and never will be private servers with the same level os scripting pvp+pve wise as Warmane.
All dat new poped trash servers with their " OMG FULL BLIZZLIKE SCRIPTING" is a sad lie, and i gigle each time some mongol whispering to me with random server advertisement.

I don't play wotlk, but if I di I'd rather go on a realm that doesn't have 2 h queue (Lordaeron), even if the rates are different.
Well, unless maybe if I had my main there already.

I could point out where I used to play and where every single script was working until the population started dropping thanks to the release of Cata in Private servers. Considering I'm pointing out a timezone that goes from 2009 to finals of 2011 do you really believe that there's no alternatives?

There are. If the scripts were working just fine in that timezone how do they get destroyed, in this server, when a hotfix is released? [Examples: RDF System queue - Was working in a doable shape until a hotfix ruined it. ICC: From doable went to splat. RS: From doable went to splat.] Because there's no sense of responsibility? Because the performance standards are in a different level than from the community?

Warmane could be better if things were taken and driven through another path and not through the path of: " I'm absolutely right. What if I'm actually not right? Do my job and prove me wrong. "

Ugh, there are several alternatives to Warmane for WotLK. I've got one server on my mind right now, which has ONE developer - the work on it progresses really slow because of that, but it is some goddamn quality work and godlike scripting. The problem is their pop is as low as the private servers of old times where you had to enable cross-faction in order to have enough ppl for a raid.

really good servers are alway populated
that random server can be good script wise but shlt protection/management wise, so people decided to not waste time there -> low online

Well its way easier to 'script' a 300 pop server than a 10,000 one

The only option is to play legion witch is garbage

Played in a server with 8000 players online at peak times and with everything working properly back in 2010.

Want to give me a logical explanation for that? I have one.

I think it's not really even needed to compare with other servers out there. But if someone gonna insist, well, how can we distinguish good private servers and bad ones, I guess 95% of the answer is in population and stability and 5% on scripts, on which, in the first two cases, are, and they will always be, the most important factors that attract more players to join. Script-wise speaking, some people will care and talk/report about it, and, in worst case scenario, only very few will quit at its most. Anyhow, I'm positive that most players will join a populated server with good stability despite there are some bugs here and there and not on a 100% well scripted server with lags and dc's everywhere

So as we can see Warmane managed to serve to us 6 servers, on which 2 of them are capable of hitting 12k population without having many stability issues, just one dc there, few lag spikes there. I can't say for sure there's no better than this as I don't know every wotlk private server in the world, but I find it extremely hard to believe. This project can even have the worst scripts ever, won't really matter. 10k+ and 12k on Lordaeron and Icecrown, respectively, is big win

And yes, no wonder why we got ddos attacks sometimes...

I'm talking about actual quality scripting that gets as close to retail as you can imagine. The Valhalas chain, the Argent Tournament quests - scripts and chains done and working properly exactly as on retail. Then of course Naxx and Ulduar also work perfectly, including Yogg's brain room and all that stuff. I haven't tried ToC yet and the server still hasn't "progressed" to ICC (it has the same progression system as Lordaeron, but it's a year older than it - yeah, I'm talking about a server that's barely 2 years old). I just checked it and it has +1k pop, which is still more than Warmane's Cata realms. 3 devs in total now.

The guys use GitHub as a working platform for bug reports. I have subscribed for it and there are bugfixes literally every single day.

Of course, but even then you would have to account for performance issues which you can basically neglect on a 300 pop server
Especially the more elaborate quest chains tend to have scripted events which can be real performance hogs on higher pop servers, but arent really significant on lower pop ones
