Theres actually quite a few things not in the cash or vote point shops that used to be there that can be given as rewards. Mounts like the Ancient Frostsaber, and Fluorescent Green Mechanostrider for example. Wooly White Rhino (Exceedingly rare ~<1% chance to drop) as well as Path of Illidan. Gnomeregan Pride and Darkspear Pride would also be good rewards. None of these items impact gameplay but would be fun to earn as Warmane hasn't allowed any other ways of obtaining them since 2015/2016 when we went to Boredaeron Core

So saying having good rewards for special events and holidays ruins it? Seems like Warmane logic to me.

Not trying be disrespectful it's just frustrating that the expectation for the last 5 years has been an announcement before Christmas and that this year that didn't happen. Having good rewards for something that happens once a year shouldn't be an unreasonable request.

The problem is that you expect something. That's not how gifts and the spirit of Christmas works.

If you get something, you'll likely be unhappy with it because of expectations too.
Christmas is about giving, not getting. Stop expecting things so that you can be pleasantly surprised instead of disappointed.
It may be a concept beyond some of the youngins, but any adults here should know this already.
Us announcing something before we're ready to share it sets expectations, too, instead of it being a surprise.
