The most pathetic secret of your wow gameplay

I was riding around in Booty Bay on my slow mount, as a lvl 40 nooblet ally. Suddenly two lvl 80 hordies appeared next to me, stopped then started following me wherever I went shopping or taking/handing in quest. They didn't kill me, just followed silently. I was thinking "whatever floats their boat, I guess". This went on for like 5-6 mins before 1 more joined the posse and I started to head out of the town for the next round of questing.

When I stepped out of the shark head entrance two more hordies were standing there. Then all of them jumped on me and I was killed in a split-second. It was the biggest WTF moment for me ever since. Did they really need five lvl 80 chars to kill one lvl 40 one? Or was it an elaborate trolling attempt?

no. the guys who were following you did it for fun and didnt mean to kill you. I know a lot of ppl who follow people around to creep them out. and it works awesome... the hordies who were outside were partybreakers I guess...

I'm from the horde and there are times where I chase newbie allys, making it look like I'm about to kill them, when in truth all i wanted to do was /wave them.

I really like how they panic somehow. pure win all the time!!

When my friends brought me over to WoW they gave me 1GP for gear and skills I finally used it all up at around lvl 20 and my buddy was like " I just gave you 1GP... You spent it all???" I was like yea man I bought gear in the AH and got my skills, that was back on retail shortly after it started, he was level 50 and couldn't believe how fast I spent that money. Things weren't so complicated back then :P But 1GP definately went a lot farther than it does today!

While in my firsts days of wow, i thought NPCs are players too. I remember there was a quest at the tauren starting area, to find one's pet dog. I accepted the quest and sat there, asking him to come with me. I was like "Comon man. I don't have all day" and "Are you there?". I also asked him how to reach "orc city" and Outland. Ofc someone noticed me and told me NPCs are not players.... i felt really awkward.

First 3 hours of wow i didnt know there was a map so i would just walk around everywhere to find a quest item. i was skyping with my freind while playing it and then im like wow **** theres a map? hes like omg O.o how did you not know and im like i didnt see it
then i also used to pick armor on how much armor they had and used to buy mail armor when i was a mage on my first char then finaly at lvl 10 or so my freind told me i cant wear all armor and im like OOOHHH no wonder its red

played rogue in retail and ran rogue/mage in 2v2... hit 1750 in TBC without knowing how absolutely necessary wound poison was... (50% heal reduction)

My biggest WTF moment? Ok, so some I was a lvl 25 nub, asking for help and this 80 whisps me and asks what I need help with, I said a level 25 elite quest so he replies, can't help you, im lvl 80 you see.

Hmm cant recall any epic ones either didnt had any in recent times altho there was this certain moment...I was in Area 52 in Netherstorm picking up the quest for Into the Nether achievement and so this 75 Orc warr and gayelf loladin try to team me(im full s8).Needless to say they were failing miserably(you dont say :D) but the thing is I didnt lift a finger I stood there technically taking their pathetic back scratching if I can call it that way and watching the guards chop them up.I couldnt resist not to whisper the guy and ask "Seriously?" what got in response was flame because I "stood there like a *****" and doing nothing, at first I thought he was just trolling but then I realised guy was actually serious. I was totally like "the f... O.o?" D:

P.S Oh and that creeping up of lowbies is always entertaining in a way they always are like "omigawd 80 j00 no taek candle mee run" etc. more on the matter I rarely if ever kill a lowbie cuz just because I can doesnt mean I should.

My biggest wtf moment:

Was in toc with my druid (mining/blacksmithing) & we get to last boss. At which point, the leader asks: Who else needs BS recipe's? I ofc say I do, I need them.
Leader replies: You can't roll for BS recipe's, you are a druid, you can't wear plate.
WTF?!
