Although i've been reading the lastest comments in this thread, i still don't understand why the hell are you, Warmane, doing this to people who've been playing since molten. In my case, my main toon has lost is name just because some copycat (yes, i was the first in all the realms to get my name, which is not that common) got here first and reserved it. Now, even tho' i think you don't really care too much about this, i think it'd be wise to check which accounts created a toon named "X" first, and that would be a fair way of doing things. It's inevitable to prevent copycats, and i don't think i can prove that i was the first one to get that name, but you can if you check your database.
In case i lose my main toon's name, i'll have no chance but to choose another one, i'm aware of that. But i think many players share the same opinion as i do.
Man come on let's get real, is it more important a name or a great gameplay? Seriously you'd rather your cool and unique name even if you gotta play on an inactive realm? (Yes at the moment Drathwing and Ragnaros are both inactive under some aspects, like 3v3). I think this merge will be great to see new players and surely will bring more activity to all the aspects of the game itself.
And you really want to stop this 'cause of a name? Do you prefer a nicer gameplay or a cool name? (I don't think WoW is a game where who has the coolest name wins, its goal is not to gaze your name all the time long when you play, just saying). So yeah, I don't think that's a valid reason to stop the merge.
get tmoprh. transmog is not needed on a wotlk realm.
What will happened to guild names? for example there is a guild has the same name on both realms. there wont be any guild names reservation or something like that?
Guilds will be disbanded and eventually reformed on new realm.
I just lold, what about players who are here from the beggining of this server?
And that is not needed is the ultimate verdict said by you which everyone else must accept?
I like transmog system not some strange addon. A lot of people would like transmog in wotlk.
And what if I have two charcters with names Jack and John for example, and I reserve Jack and someone else reserves John. What happens to my John?
John is flagged for rename.
Point is that Transmogrification would be a custom thingy om 3.3.5 realms because it's not part of the game itsels since it was added in Cataclysm and not in WOTLK. This basically means that having Transmogs on 3.3.5 realms is a custom option and I don't really think they're gonna make so. Basically it's similar to custom gear, it's like if they're gonna add a new custom gear stronger than WF gear. Custom stuff, kind of unlikely to see this honestly. So yeah, some like Transmogs some don't, it would be nice maybe but I don't really think they will add this on Icecrown realm.
Will i still have my lvl 80's and theyre gear on the other realm? or my brother hav donated on his acc will he have his coins back or how does it work?.
