I used Photoshop, but I'll say how I did it assuming you can duplicate the method with gimp. I created a black-to-transparent gradient, and place one on each of the four edges on a blank layer just above the background.

Damn, I though this thread was gonna be ignored like 90% of the others I'v posted (QQ) This is looking really nice. I love the art work and the "Few minute" dedication put into them. Not correct exactly, my project was to extract the file from there flash player and send it to a person who requested it. I don't claim it as my work ofc, sorry for the off-topic just wanted to clear that up.
