1. why dont you make a poll for everyone to vote before you change it yourself.
If we operated like that, nothing would ever get done, and we'd end up with some changes to the server we don't like.

You bash on us and complain that things are going downhill, but I fail to see any valid concerns, much less an acceptable reason to post crap like this. (No, I don't consider complains about 1-coin transactions valid. For an example as to why, see the first portion of xiarhos7's post on the previous page.)

The direction this system is taking, I believe, is intended to help drain coins out of the economy (by a small amount), but make gold less of an issue since not all realms are equal in terms of gold. That said, there are various reasons and incentives for the staff to make these changes to the system. I can see them and understand them. Perhaps it's because I have an interesting perspective on the system, being as familiar on how things work around here as I am.

As for off-topic things, I won't indulge them much since it is off-topic, but things being "better" or "good" is obviously as subjective as just about any other sort of opinion is.

In the end, I highly recommend that you respect the forum rules when posting. Thank you in advance.

  2. I think fractions of coins should be implemented because of those fees. But only for the fees not for listing prices as fractions of coins. It could even be 10-20% fee at lower prices but 1 coin fee seems too much when most items and gold were sold for 1-3 coins before.
Fractional fees is about the only viable solution presented thus far. A lack of fees for 1 coin sales is - for obvious reasons named - not feasible.

  3. Look, I get this is a business and people depend on it for a job. There has to be a return on the server for it to remain, it’s a legitimate concern and one that has to be understood by the players that call this home.

You’re looking for a return on the investment to make keeping it around worthwhile, there can be no denying that. And for the players that just want free crap, leech here and contribute nothing other than just being a freeloader that NEVER donates, I say take a second to think how these things come, people HAVE TO invest in equipment, people (jobs IE mod’s GM’s and programmers) there has to be a return.
Now with all that stated up front. There aren’t enough donations coming in, or else the server wouldn’t be looking for ways to drain coins out of the economy to get more.

But I think, and it’s just my opinion, looking for ways to implement a form of micro transactions, is folly.

What do I mean by this? Clever ways to increase a cost to get more income will never work. And this is why.

When you systematically increase a cost to offset a lack of income, in this case a transaction cost of using a system that has been free, you will see a immediate return. But that is negligible, in the long term you discourage donations, in the way of making it look like the donators will be fee’d to death. And won’t donate more.

I understand that the server needs donations, and wants to legitimate put an end to abuse, however freedom to use coins how they see fit, will encourage more donations, when you put in systems that bleed off a small amount here and there, you will see a small return. But the bigger picture, is that less people will donate. The biggest form of donations will come from new players to the server. So in my humble opinion the greatest effort should be recruitment, not taxing the player base you have and restricting the ways to use the coins you donate for.
Honestly, there will always be abuse of a system, no matter how many “systems” you put in place. Freedom on how you use the system, ie coins in this case, will help the server more.
Relax the restrictions, recruit more players and you will see the donations increase. Tax the player base by putting in a form of micro transactions and you will further disenfranchise the players from donating.

Now I know I might see a bit of flaming for saying this, I’m not criticizing, only stating my opinion, nothing more. But honestly, I’d rather have some construction feedback from your player base, over others that just say “oh yes, that’s a great idea” “Lets do that!” Don’t believe me? Look at the way retail, and the subs there has gone.

  4. Why isnt warmane using 1.0 system for coins too(similar to vote points)? That way for 1 coin in trading/gifts we will lose 0.1 coins.Im sure that everyone is going to aprove thus if you decide to accept this change.

  5. i need to ask that coins that will come to your account from selling a character will be trade able once or not?

    • Locked coins are unlocked 72 hours after being received
Is this supposed to be working already? I got coins from a gift on April 15 and a trade on April 16. More than 72 hours have passed since both but the amount of coins that can be traded (shown on gifting page) has not increased. Seems like it's either not working or the number on gifting page is wrong.

    Soundslike the best solution.
In this case the fee would always be 5% no matter if u make a 1 coin or 29 coin auction.

  7. Soundslike the best solution.
That's far from 'best solution' ,why? Because let's face it, how many times do you really move coins from one account to another if ever? once a month... ? Stuff doesn't sell instantly anymore like it used to be pre-wipe and you'll probably move a decent amount of let's say 40 coins and you really gonna brag about this 1 coin fee? -.- Even people that donated on their second account and move the coins to their main won't feel it. Rules must be made for all those coin traders (through gifting) they still spam on global chats and doesn't seem to care about this 1 coin fee at all.

    Thats not the point.
The point is that the coin fee is completely unbalanced. The fee for selling cheap items on trading is far too high. When u sell a two coin auction u lose 50% of ur income while somebody who sells a 20 coin auction loses only 5% of its income.
It would make much more sense that the fee for a 2 coin auction would be 0,1 coin and not 1 coin.

  9. So, i assume that character tradng will also cost coins ...

  10. Now is showing as "Service fee 1 coins" . Does that mean that it costs me 1 coin just to post the auction ?

    No, only for successful sales.

  12. This sale must cost a minimum of 15 coins to be created. That means no more auctions under 15 coins ? oO

nvm just saw the sistem doesnt scale to the corect coins when u put the gold you want to sell. have fun

  14. Hello

Just to make this clear to me, Coin Gifting can take up to 72 Hours to be received?
