1. Time to bring out "the Exalted" title and taunt the newbies that they will never get it :>

  2. Damn, finally a decent reply covering everything i've read on the forums so far. Thanks for this and i am sorry if i made anyone feel angered or in any way disturbed by my post. As i stated before and still with the decision, i don't mind the changes at all. The only point i was keeping on repeat for me was indeed the content being fixed thingy. On the other hand I was wondering why staff didn't bother replying, like in depth, or one massive explanatory post covering all FAQs here on the forums, and for me this post of you Obnoxious is enough to see that actually all these threads really covered the same things that were already considered. It was needed in one big post to cover the points. Thanks once again, cheers :P

  3. that depends more on the maturity of the market
    when the maturity is dependent on a community made of mostly teens its really not promising

  4. Rep isnt a common complain, are u serious?

  5. I still wonder how the staff figures they could possibly fix all of the reps in the next 9 days, most reps on Cata are bugged, quite a few on Wrath have recently became bugged and I'm sure MoP is in a worse state than Cata...maybe if they had 50 devs, they could fix that all in 9 days, but they don't.

  6. Actually on mop all rep work except oracles/frenzyheart till exalted and those instance only ones, but that is with current rates idk after the change.
    I still trying to figure out why discussions for lord getting forced on other realms. 1x is the niche if after the moltedown you said you was going to do this you think you would have made it a month? Stuff like this makes me think you just want to make things as unwelcoming as possible on mop/cata so you can close it because lets be honest who wants to play 1x cata/mop. I would be looking for somewhere else to play but my chars already max rep etc so I will wait and see how it affects realm population.

  7. That's not what I or anyone in the Staff said. Feedback will be listened to, it always is. But, yet again, it's feedback, not decision-making. After feedback is listened to, it can be accepted in full, accepted partially or dismissed - be it for being something that has been accounted for during planning or other reasons.

    For the reasons you sum up against the change, even I, despite whatever my personal opinion might be, can provide counters:

    "- Reputation is already hard due to some content not working": Proterean already stated that focus will be given so reputation content should be working before any changes or not long after;

    "- Gold squish will keep the same buy power, nothing changed, just less numbers": if that's indeed a fact, there's little reason to have a negative reaction to it - if nothing will change, for good or for ill, it's a neutral result that shouldn't matter for anyone besides people with a thing for big numbers;

    "- Prices MIGHT change in AH, sure you wont see 50K item due to gold squish, but you will see 25K item that will be on the same level of OPness as before": that depends more on the maturity of the market and how much people want to actually sell or simply keep something outside the market; if point #2 is a fact, this is again a neutral point that should only be seen as an issue if a huge amount of development resources were sidetracked to deal with it - that's not the case as far as I'm aware and more than likely it will be Edifice who will handle the cut;

    "- Due to this knowledge of gold squish people will buy now, sell later in order to loose as less gold as possible": we gave forewarning of months ahead of time; was it because the Administration didn't see that happening or exactly to give people a chance for that?;

    "- Gold squish accomplishes very little when there is gold outside the game in circulation": point #2 again, with different words; the gold sold outside the game still comes from players inside the game selling it; no gold is generated from nowhere, it just exchanges owner by the use of coins.

    So, from your list of points against, none holds its ground, since they are all things that were accounted for before the plan was made public or not much of a point against, at most pointing out the effect will be a zero-sum game ("this will change nothing"). The only valid point here would be a variation of the first one - people being skeptical about the reputation-related content being fixed by the end of this month - but that isn't in your list or even a common complain in all the threads on the subject.
    About reputation and what Proterean stated... I'm sorry, but this makes me remind when we used to joke with the "we will work on that soon" response from the Staff to all bug/fixed that should be fixed. My years on Molten/Warmane made me gain a certain "distrust" from the Staff.
    About gold, I really don't care much because it'll be the same, but you should add some more gold drain mechanics to make this squish effect last longer (transmog could be but "no blizzlike, no gain" or even lottery for example).

  8. These changes should only be even considered after they fix what needs to be fixed. I remember when they neutered the market they said they would have the old content released soon. Many months later and well.......

  9. people have been generally pricing things at double the regular price on AH since gold squish was announced, lmfao. this change does nothing to fix the economy.

  10. "- Reputation is already hard due to some content not working": Proterean already stated that focus will be given so reputation content should be working before any changes or not long after;
    7 days left for the rate change and still no fixes. Fixing it afterwards is too late. Why don't you give us until january like with the gold squish before the rate changes?

  11. 7 days left for the rate change and still no fixes. Fixing it afterwards is too late. Why don't you give us until january like with the gold squish before the rate changes?
    Well, the decision isn't up to me, so quoting me for an answer won't help anything. I'm not involved with the Development team, so I can't make any statements on how fixes for reputation-related stuff is, but nothing being fixed in the production servers isn't an indicator one way or another. It wouldn't be unheard of for fixes to come along with a big change, and I don't mean restricted to just Warmane.

  12. Well that day will soon by upon us, there's no fighting it nor is there any other way.

    For you MOP folks; off topic a bit,
    All I can say is MOP players are kinda furious that us as a whole wasn't given a choice, and the pop is about to go down I guess.

    Just recently 2 guilds left the realm.

  13. Are they delayed gold squish to January 1st 2017???

  14. Rep isnt a common complain, are u serious?
    They are not playing i believe so they can only develop theories, and theres logic behind them but we shall see the results soon.
    + I agree, old content waspromissed on beggining of the month and its end now and still there is no old content if im correct?
    Not to mention quest for reps and profession issues i doubt will be fixed but hey, theres hope.

  15. Are they delayed gold squish to January 1st 2017???
    I don't think it was delayed. This was the original date if I'm not mistaken.
