1. I'll Say one word xD >>> MoP <<

  2. Quite interesting how everyone that quit at the beginning of mop/end of cata hates Mop while people that played it usually regard it as the second best expansion ever (with class design for many being by far the best its ever been).

  3. I really enjoyed MoP on retail. Beatiful zones, really entertaining quests, pet battles, I liked the design and mechanics of the dungeons and raids etc. Sure, there might have been some flaws, but that's natural. All in all, I really liked MoP and that was the last expansion I played on retail, never tried WoD or Legion.

What made me quit retail? The fact that I am no longer a teenager, I can not allow myself to play a video game for hours and hours on end day in day out, regardless of how much I enjoy it. Life caught up with me eventually lol, obligations, college, job, etc etc. So, since I only play ocassionaly now I feel much more comfortable playing on a pserver for free, instead of paying (it's not much though but still) and not knowing if I'll be able to play, so I feel like am just throwing my money away at some point.

  4. Didn't feel like I was playing WoW anymore. Felt like an entirely different game, which is fine, but I its not the game I wanted to play.

Same, along with the reasons I gave earlier. WoW doesn't "feel" like WoW anymore. It's obviously still a great game, even til now, no one else can even touch it's playerbase numbers.

But it really feels like they've gutted the game.

  6. WoD
it was nice having your own personal base of operations, but in the end was just reduced to farming not much need to interact with other peeps, and the crafting - you could craft all these nice epic items, but could only equip 3 of them, and when you crafted them the stats were random, and you had to use a different item to change stats til hopefully you got the type of set you wanted...in the end it seemed the catered to the peeps that could not L2P and just made a fantasy version of Farmville

  7. Legion is GARBAGE.

I just unsubscribed today. On the outside, Legion seems like a pretty good expansion, if not for one fatal flaw.

PvP instances, that being battlegrounds and arena, are "auto balanced."

This means you can be a fresh level 110 player, join arena in full greens, and be more or less just as strong as a player who has been grinding gear for months.

This might be fine if there were anything resembling class balance in Legion PvP. This means you can roll disc priest, hit 110, join arena and /laugh at everyone as you take no damage. If you are a rogue, you are WORTHLESS. It doesn't matter how "skilled" you think you are if it takes you seven minutes to kill one ****ty player who got auto boosted to full arena gear the moment he joined your level bracket.

Speaking of gear: There is no PvP gear anymore. Gear is just gear. You don't get gear from PvP at all unless you do rated BGs and arena and you have insanely high ratings in either one. Of course, you won't get invited to either unless your a disc priest or some other overtuned class/spec. For everyone else, if you want gear, you must grind out boring PVE raids and get screamed at by nerds on Discord for months just so a new update with a new raid can come out and make all of it obsolete. None of which matters because gear counts for nothing in PvP anyway.

There are no more gear vendors. Everything you get has to be a random drop from something.

The exception here is World PvP... until that gets "fixed" too.

Not only is gear auto balanced in PvP instances, but any legendaries you have, any armor set bonuses, even FOOD is completely disabled. You just as well join in full greens and play like it's an FPS game. Just roll the right classes or people will scream at you for playing what you would otherwise enjoy...

There is no point at all in playing retail right now. It is a joke. The devs have no idea what they're doing and keep adding all kinds of useless **** to the game like micro-holidays and Brawlers Guild and "fixing" things that aren't broken until they are.

  8. I find it interesting how in years past, and even in recent times on private servers (such as our own forums) people whine and complain about the (supposed) massive differences in PvP gear and the gearing up process.
    Then Blizzard addresses it.
Now people complain in the opposite direction.

Casuals complained about it, and Blizzard listened to the casuals. No one does PvP on retail anymore. There is simply no incentive to do it. It's sad.

At this rate, I expect within 5 years or so that there will be no gear progression at all in WoW, because alongside people who cried about players with better gear killing them, who is to say it is fair that those same players should do more DPS in PVE? Just start everyone out at max level and completely eliminate the equipment tab and make everyone "equal" so that new players can feel relevant without doing anything. That is the path Blizzard is taking.
