I doubt it's account by account because 2 of my chars which i didn't do many quests with got some tokens refunded and the 2 main ones i did quests with every day for 2 weeks didn't get any tokens back and they are all on the same account.

I have just received almost all of my tokens back :) Thank you Warmane's Staff I know it had to be hard work to fix this problem I appreciate that.
Of ten characters across a couple accounts, only one character has a mail from 'customer service' with Tokens. Received 85 tokens back from the 145 I had prior to Sunday. Most other characters had between 5-15, but none of those received any return. I can't deduce what the methodology may have been.
i had two chars both had 125 prior still no mail. I'm wondering how long it takes I hope to see them back so I can still get 200 before the event ends for the last achievment.
I have just been fully refunded, and thanks to the 3 extra days, I'm gonna make the Dalaran achievement, thanks Warmane! :D
I wonder how some chars are not refunded at all, some chars are fully refunded and some peopel like me who were refunded less than 1/4 of the total tokens lost? On what base those tokens got spread on random chars?
Missing 325 tokens on my shaman, if I dont get fully refunded it doesnt even matter cause I wont be able to get the dalaran achiev...
ok well it seems theres alot confusion going on. i had opened an ingame ticket to get my 75 tokens refunded. I had contact with cairner who told me to open up a follow up ticket if they havent arrived yet. i did. afterwards another gm (who apparently neither had the will to read the prior convo nor actually ask someone else who knows whats going on about this matter) replied to me that they cannot assist in that matter. i wanne know wtf is going on. i play here since early 2010 account always in good standing. exalted legate patriot rank who has endured the great fall with the server and remembered how for a short period of time they were super nice and helpful and begged us to stay with them in the hard times and we did. now its just ticket response time 2 days and telling us copy paste wise no we dont do anything and arent interested in you? is that really how you wanne treat your most loyal players? do we mean that much to you after all that years? are we somewhat annoying to deal with except accepting if we donate? what is going on?
Any Update to this? I put in a ticket as I got 0 back. the GM responded stating that they do not do "refunds or exchanges" (Of which NEITHER scenario applies in this instance) and I got 25 tokens in my mailbox. This is still short 44 tokens I had (98) before the event was ended prematurely. So I've submitted another ticket asking for those 44 tokens so that I can get the silly dalaran achievement to buy the boots before the event is over.
Still no mail with refunds while my RL friend has gotten it feel really shafted :( last day too :(
It should end today at midnight by server time if they don't extend it again.

So, you stated here you were looking into the solution, but never fully communicated "what" the solution was or steps to follow for it for the player base. What was the solution and steps to follow for the players? Why do I have to find this information about this second-hand through other players instead of from the staff?
Could this please be looked at for future communications efforts between the staff and players for improvements?
