1. Nothing change the fact that they should announce those bans first.
try steal a nearby car, then say those exact words to the police when they handcuff u.
Half server was doing this, not 10 or 20 ppl.
then report those half server with evidence, ez.
It is not a shame to admit mistake and do it properly.
as well as accepting ban when u break the rules.

I reported at least 30 people that were blatant afk, although most of them without evidence because I was hoping GMs have access to logs of some kind. Do they not? Evidence can be falsified easily ( screenshots) will they ban just based on screenshots? Btw most of the afkers already reachedr13-14 so its too late now. Afkers won & they profited from kill trades. Should reset pretty much the entire top 50 with hk since all of them “cheated”

unedited of clear violation screenshots will do then they would investigate those and i believe they do have logs.

  4. No one will ever ban me from playing pvp in the way how i wanna play it, you give so many stupid excuses that it's not normal. And if I get banned, no one will ever stop me from playing it as much as I want and how i want. Period.

Donation It's not against the rules, but killing time on your server is? you are definitely not normal.

And if it is against the rules, WIPE every single person from beginning to HIght warlord, armor, weaps, honor, rep, burn them all. LEGO WIPE THE SERVER DOWN

  5. Why would I take accountability for people thinking they can get away with an obvious rule? Why is it that WE must take accountability of those people's actions instead of THEM?

Maybe there's "philosophy" on the offender's end on determining whether they can get away with it or not. But if those people can't recognize there is risk of a ban involved, then that's not the staff's issue.
    Breaking rules = bad

Rule breakers should be banned.100% agree.

Now can we move the conversation from that moot point and actually acknowledge that the PVP meta is broken and encourages teamwork between Alliance and Horde and actively punishes any attempt to do anything else?

In an attempt to fix the worst PVP system ever (blizzlike vanilla), we got an even worse system, where the optimal strategy is "feeding" the enemy side so that they "feed" you back.

Now that players are getting banned for that strategy, we have the new "meta" which is players PRETENDING they are fighting for some objective and using coded language like "push them" and "retreat" in place of "feed them", while in fact still doing the exact same thing aka trying to find a way to work with the other side to maximize HKs but without being blatant and obvious about it.

That is the only function PVP currently has. There are no objectives, there is no reward for "winning", there is absolutely no incentive to fight the other side in an organic way.

Alterac Valley in its current state is a CO-OP game mode due to a DESIGN FLAW.

No, because that's false. This is like saying stealing is "encouraged" by capitalism because you can't buy luxury stuff if you don't get a job and pay for it. Go ahead and say stealing a shop at gunpoint is "the optimal strategy" next, that it's what you're "encouraged" to do instead of just playing by the rules. There's nothing "encouraged" by the fact there are blatantly illegal shortcuts to achieve something, only dishonest people would ever try to use that as an excuse to avoid the blame of their own choices and actions.

    Can i get an Amen

I don't know why you're constantly drawing analogies to politics and capitalism, maybe you should join a politics debate discord or something. This isn't a country or a global economic system, it's a server for a video game that came out in 2004.

Besides, I've already conceded that breaking the rules is bad and that I don't mind if people are getting banned for it.

However, that doesn't excuse what the PVP system currently is. And currently, it is a co-op game between horde and alliance of finding the best way to make the HK number go up.

The newest update involves pretending you're doing something else (so you don't get banned), but there really isn't anything else to do. There's no value to winning, there's no value to avoiding death. Healers are shunned, hunters who drop frost traps and slow down the game get abuse, and so on.

This is what the PVP system is, no matter how many people get banned.

Because they are easy and simple to understand. Even a child can understand the concept of stealing being wrong, even if it might look like "the optimal strategy." Although things are making me reconsider the "even a child" part lately...

However, that doesn't excuse what the PVP system currently is. And currently, it is a co-op game between horde and alliance of finding the best way to make the HK number go up.
No, it isn't. That's what players are making it to be in their "optimal strategy" involving abusing and breaking rules.

And those people will keep getting reported. I wonder where this mentality comes from that just doing some acting that would make school plays feel second hand embarrassment is going to fool everyone.

This is what the PVP system is, no matter how many people get banned.
Nothing about what the PvP system is involves feeding each other kills to rush for rewards, no matter how many banned abusers cry it is.

  11. Obnoxious u seriously sound like u just try defend your own system thats legit full failure try listen to the player base

  12. Obnoxious u seriously sound like u just try defend your own system thats legit full failure try listen to the player base
Nah, the system has its many problems, but that simply isn't an excuse for players to abuse it and wintrade to get the rewards faster.

  13. What do you suggest players do then?
The entire system is made so its ONLY Hk's that count... NOTHING but HK's...

Out of curiousity - How would you in an ideal world have people play Alterac Valley?`
Theres nothing gained from killing Vanndar - The afk numbers today in the current meta is through the roof-...

I'm really curious as to what the initial idea was with this honor system..

  14. so the (fix) is to just ban all people who was in av last 7 days ?
i hope u can see this aint right ?

  15. I'm really curious as to what the initial idea was with this honor system..
I didn't create any of it, so I can't answer that. About what I would suggest players do, well... PvP? Go do actual fighting, earn those HKs legitimately, without trying to find loopholes to cheese it.

The fix is to ban all who abused the system and broke our rules by wintrading, and get reported for it. If everyone in the last 7 days did that - which isn't true, but even if it was - then yes. The rules don't stop existing if the amount of people breaking them is large.
