For example, my main char is Mystina, active almost daily and well known in Onyxia.
There is a Mystina in ICC, lvl 1, just holding the nick.

No, it isn't. You're the one moving in to Icecrown, they're the one at their home. Even if it's a placeholder or a bank.

We already have our (at least so far) yearly inactivity clean-ups. They weren't affected by the previous one, if they are inactive for a long period of time they will be by the next. But aside being inactive on our terms, I can't see any scenario where incoming characters would (or should) get preference for names.

Not really deleted. I moved all the topics from 2024 and prior to our Archives in the Staff section. Everything from 2025 is still there.
Proterean wanted a new name and avatar. Unfortunately a few Staff members decided to quit. Can't blame them. But no, it is not the end.

Hey Palutena! WE are all excited for SWP and the future of Onyxia. But i have a genuine question, are you aware of SWP dropping in 5 days?
There is less then a week until the new content drop.. and the player base literally have zero idea about what's going on.
I understand you say "when ready" but there is less then a week until new content drops. Last announcements were almost a month in ahead. Will we get the announcement on raid drop day or what? Impossible to try to prepare for something we have zero idea about, been on the PTR testing but that will only take you so-so far. Please! NEWS.

That is the confirmed release date of Sunwell and Isle of Quel Danas. Posted under a header that literally says "News" in a place that all players see.

This information is also automatically broadcasted and blasted on the realm every few minutes, so unless you never log in and play, you would be sufficiently aware of it, we are certain every major and minor guild is aware of it already. The relevant news will be posted in a few moments as well.
