Someone made similar. I lost zepelin to and i went flying to reach Durotar. Somewhere at 1/3 distance mount disapeared and i ketp swiming for 20 min or something ( fatigue wasnt working, Haleluia to molten-wow ) till i reached Durotar. Just to find out that there is no durotar there , only my map and pure water. So i had to heartstone and wait that zepelin again with rage.
One friend : till level 42 or something he said he is a warrior when he actualy was a paladin. Someone finaly convinced him that hes a paladin ( on some 3x server so it tooked him a while to understand whats what ).
Noob and newbie are the same thing, except the first was pulled away from the original meaning to have a derrogatory conotation. People still use both interchangeably, only "harcore kids" stomp their foot about them being oh so completely different.
Yet they still do remain different in my eyes, I have never seen anyone shout "newb" at someone when they're flaming or trolling, and I haven't seen anyone say "noob" in a friendly way (excluding the person I quoted).

Nobody uses the word "newb" because anyone who cares about a player's experience with the game being sub-par tends to be a jerk anyway. :/
When i was play in party and i got scare to pick whichever item i need to pick as greed or need. I though it might harm to my character or something :) (no kidding)

Ye,that happened to me too. I didn't even know what it could mean and so I just clicked on Greed,'cause I thought that I would have got money,LOLZ
When i first started to play wow, i was lvl 6 NE hunter and got lost in darkshore. That place was so creepy back then with all the fog. Mobs were attacking me everytime and i was afriad to die. So i hid behind a tree, used shadowmeld and waited until somebody finally passed by to ask for help. Didn't even know a hearthstone existed ^^
Got to level 36 on a private pre TBC only via exploring since I didn't know about heartstone and I was kind of lost. Besides that I leveled from lvl 6 to 20 only with melle with hunter cause I didnt know where to buy arrows...lol noob :D
playing on balance spec and fighting in Black Temple with Cat form HAHHAHA and killing 20 lvl elites while i was 36 just because they were dropping gold and i was doing that more than 1 week until some guy told me to move so i can level up HAHA
I was doing every quest I find and levelling about month with my rogue on sargeras (1st char ever), basically i was going where story brings me like duskwood at lvl 40, didnt know about gray quests -.- and soloing uldaman and sunken temple with 50 hp left for quests idk what lvl I was. But I must say I really enjoyed it that time :) I guess every1 wants to xperience feeling of being noob again idk.
Another pathetic fail was that I got in 10m ICC which was made of better player here on sargeras (aggresor, kam, etc, im former addicted one). And I just switched back to muti after few weeks of combat spec. I was doing misserable dps and almost got kicked until i realised I forgot to put poisons.
