Fascinating guide. I have to warn you that I'm a complete newbie at WoW, so I haven't really wrapped my head around most mechanics and other tricky little things. Most PvP guides that I find on here focus on Arms which I don't really like for a number of reasons. At any rate the main appeal in this is that you can do decently in PvP while still being somewhat moderately useful to your rdf or guild group during raiding. So far I'm absolutely enjoying this build approach as I'm leveling up my greenie on mobs several levels higher.
But I do have a couple of questions. Is improved rend really that worthwhile? It seems that every pvp build I've looked at so far takes it as a given, and it might make sense on an arms or fury build where you have access to really damaging weapons. But the damage output from it doesn't appear that impressive, especially given your limited options, wouldn't it be better to invest in Cruelty or Parry? If you really want to make use of your rend ability to keep that rogue in sight, why not take the glyph? Secondly, do Deep Wounds proc from crits on other abilities, such as Shockwave and Shield Slam? I know you said that the greenest of gits don't count on bleed to win fights, but hey it's not like it's against the rules or anything.
For arms improved rend is quite important, since rend will be always up in any fight. Ideally you will be keeping 100% uptime on rend. Why not take a talent which increases this damage? The other 3 points are usually put in parry.
As a shield slam warr, you can ignore that talent if u want.
Yes, deep wounds procs from any crit from any attack you perform. White attacks included. Even a ranged crit with a thrown weapon (or bow or gun) will result in deep wounds.

I picked Rend because all of the options in that row are very limited. I don't use Heroic Strike at all so getting the Improved talent would be a waste of points (I don't use HS because it is meant to be a rage dump and rage is already a precious resource as Protection).
That leaves Deflection and Improved Rend as choices. I figured 20% extra Rend damage would be more useful than 2% Parry chance especially given that I do actually use Rend for the extra damage and rage generation.
My sibling was bragging about this guide and how it helped her build an amazing warrior so I thought I would take a I look. Although it looks like it can help me really build up my warrior alt into a powerful weapon of death, I don't know if I like the other side effects.
Block value cap is 1960 for warriors if I'm not mistaken.
Edit: "The damage scaling from block value for this ability now diminishes faster and diminishes starting at a lower block value. The difference should be negligible for players in high-end tanking armor. In addition, the threat caused by Shield Slam has been increased by 30%." - 3.3.2 patch notes
Paladins had SotRs scaling reduced by 30%, instead, so their cap stays at 2760.
Edit #2: I read through the threat and it appears there is no actual cap on BV - however, there is no bug tracker report stating this. Can anyone confirm it's still bugged?

Id love to see a list of Abilitys that Shield Block can Really block, since im not sure if it Blocks all the abilitys it should block (Hunters Abilitys e.g.).
