I'm inclined to agree, it's the final boss of the server, it should be hard.

Yes, enable it as an optional buff from the start
No, it should be disabled for some time
I'm inclined to agree, it's the final boss of the server, it should be hard.
Exactly like this. Once everything is released, there will be no challenge except Icc25hc, so make it stay at 10% and be a challenge.
Can we have a poll to see how many people would like the maximum buff amount to be less than 30%?
Thanks
This will never be done since the amount of bad guilds crying cause they can't kill LK without 30% is like 100x higher than the amount of guilds that are able to kill it with ~10-20%
I guess if guilds QQ, then you've got the difficulty right :3
Since i am here from 2010 and i was playing on Lordaeron still they junked it /wrecked it with various wrong moves.
I can tell you without any donations/etc that can have initally big edge population will be tremendous.Everybody will want to play on it.Why?Sence of progress, achivement and of course hard core raiding that leetist go thru.
In that sense of word to occupy leet people, and they will swarm like locusts here Lordaeron must be kept on hardcore basis.Do that and peak time will be 1500 in que.For sure, maybe even better ,it all depends on cross realm (======???=????=) feature, machine power, but if they can ramp up to 5k people voila, you got best server in world totally rocking.Like i said it all depends if devs are willing to go thru hussle of really scripting the content ultra proper way.
As for Buff,flush it down.Keep it 5% per month. Also yawn,disable Hor/Pos.
Naxx,Ulduar,Toc become must to do to gain gear for Icc.Despite emblem farming, you still gottta go thru heavy heavy farming to down things up ,;)
Progress is middle name guys, and dedication takes time, and that time is life of server and life of server is what keeps people occupited.
Just close the thread/poll to be honest... The B option has won by 80% and the ICC buff should be disabled for a long time!
i support this, especially "after the "ICC rush" is over the buff will be there anyway like it is on DW and Ragnaros"
I don't know why people are complaining about this. If you want easy mode go to one of the other warmane wotlk servers. The buff should be raised each month lime it was on retail. I don't know why the 30% buff is even being considered at the start.
Doesn't matter anymore, votes speak for themselves :)
The best players in the world only achieved a Lich King kill with the aid of a 5% buff, and you expect any guilds on Lordaeron to ever achieve it with 10%?
My least favorite thing about the Lordaeron project is how it's drawing several extremely vocal players like this who cream at the thought of making things more challenging and stressful in any way possible, even if there is very little long term good to be gained from such a thing. Blizzard listened to these players who have a fetish for making things hard for the sake of being hard when they released Cataclysm, saw how disastrous it turned out, and then tried turning around their decision in the middle of the Expansion, and the result was Blizzard, for the first time, saw an expansion where subscriber numbers fell throughout its course more than they increased.
I fear what will happen if Warmane listens to players like these is that they'd be rudely shocked with the reality that the skill and commitment demanded by such a hardcore realm aren't suited to the large majority of its playerbase (with the people rabidly in support of such ideas on the forum being the vocal minority), thus disenfranchising several players on the server, and at some point along the realm's course they might seek to rectify the situation by taking the server in a direction that might be perceived as somewhat less hardcore, thus also disenfranchising the players who get a kick out of things being even harder than they were on retail.

Blizzards downfall was that they decided to nerf the normal mode of instances instead of opening a third mode (casual, easy) back in cataclysm. The gap between normal and heroic was too big for most guilds to handle and normal mode was too easy to even attempt more than once
The icc buff will play out like it did on retail, 5% increase every month, ending at 30%. If nobody can clear it at 5% or 10% they can just wait a bit.
There will be enough capable guilds to down it at 5% imo
That will be fantastic!
Also on retail when LK came out it wasnt some long years old project with 200 guides on youtube that everyone already did a million times on previous servers. So I would bet if you leave a month of time before the 5% is added, there will be kills on even 0.
You'd be surprised at how good some of the players are on Molten. Maybe not as good as the top 10 guilds in the world but I've had friends join top 50 guilds in the world and they started on Molten. Just because it's a private server doesn't mean there aren't good players. We've adapted to bosses that were way harder to due bugged mechanics and still achieved a kill.
Not only this but, I'm willing to bet that the overall skill players have now is a lot higher than it was back in WoTLK just because we've been playing the game longer.
