How is any of this an opinion? Like seriously, there is no way someone actually prefers unbalance over balance. I came to this server for the great wotlk pvp balance btw. This is the game I want to play and this is the game I am actually really good at. I don't want to play CS:GO or force anyone to anything. This is a new change and it needs feedback, if you try to suppress this feedback because you don't like that side of the coin you are just a ****** and I honestly hope that you never find any position of authority irl with that mindset. Ask old Blizzard employees what they think about balance in WoW, NONE of them will tell you: "well, we don't give a ****, we make an mmorpg and no one cares about balance there" High rated arenas in WoW is one of the most fun activities I have ever experienced, but you might be a "buy BIS gear into rolfstorm" warrior who just hopes to get a win out of spamming buttons and doesn't understand this

Also why the **** would we go there? Other than brackets in BG's this merge has basically changed nothing for IC players.

IC players like to talk about how gearing (because farming with 30% damage - healing buff=lord raids for them), deny the importance of gear on pvp, see scrubs getting reck by 5.5k so hey, thats how works.
i saw people too on 5.4 with 535 beating 550 chars, but rely on the incompetence of the enemy isn't a great pvp focus gameplay.
Cross realm pvp is a good implementation, i enjoy play my balckrock toon for pvp. I don't have any problem with that.
The annoyance is lord players pointing the unfair gearing system and then puff!, IC players justify the injustificable.

No, IC players ask how the **** do you have 5.5k gs when Lord has been on WF patch for a year. I'm snail slow at farming gear and even I managed to farm every season at least 2 main set pieces from 10 weekly arenas.

not everyone plays only one char and not everyone plays a lot. Getting enough rating to buy wf set isn't easy either when the arena is filled with BIS IC players. Ofc you can get over 5.5k on lordaeron, but it takes it's time, since you can't just buy whatever gear you want and raiding is significantly harder. Lordaeron has nothing else than big disadvantages in PvP and if you deny that you're just delusional

Getting rekt by a pay to win server isn't a challenge, it's the reason I and many others play on lordaeron on the first place.

I've read the whole post, because yes, I'm autistic as **** and because those forum threads make me feel alive at work when I'm done with my duties...
ANYWAY, what I see the original matter is, OP is a solo player stuck at 5k gs facing BiS teams on ladder, and it is because it really suck being stuck at 5k gs, it really sucks, a god ****ing dammit pain in the ***... and being stuck at 5k gs means you won't receive anything from bg or arena grinding because you're probably full relentless and off wrath... the only thing to do is to grind pve to get a slight edge against the most common form of BiS *******s on arena, mmr drop teams... BUT as a solo player is nearly impossible to get decent gear, everyone goes with ridiculous minimum GS required runs and nearly not a single pug, it's been almost 4 months of grinding and still stuck at pve, I really empathyze on the feeling, also it really feels pointless to keep foward when best gear is just a few clicks away and yes, it is still a thing, and of course, getting fully geared on a fresh 80 it is also part of the topic, the common belief is already there, many players feel they are just grinding for decent gear "on a rich kids playground"...
BUT, gear is not everything because as some people already said, most [average non specific orange item owners] are not that skilled, and the arena grinding is not that bad, most times when you face BiS teams you just stop queuing for a few minutes, then you go foward...
It takes dedication and playing consistently, just as any othe competitive pvp game ladder... but it's not impossible...Edited: March 5, 2019

10 games a week is a lot? You can be around 1500 and get enough points to at least get gloves and legs with that way of playing.
I was talking about the whole period before the cross realm. Lord players had plenty of time to gear up then. And I'm talking about people that have been sitting on under 6kgs PVP for a long time because they thought that they don't need more gear.
I'm not denying that its much harder now.

No, absolutely not. The wotlk PvP system bases on better players having better gear, here every 4yo has BiS gear, and losing to a braindead overgeared dk is something completely different than losing to a dk who got BIS gear for being a great player, and I wouldn't face those players at 1.5k in the first place. I never complained about getting outgeared in many years of retail, I just complained about dog**** class design in the later expansions

I personally hit 80 after crossrealm got introduced. And you will not do anything in arena if you have crap gear + 2 wf parts. You will have to play quite a lot to get remotely acceptable gear. The gear problem will only get worse with time:
- Lord players always had way worse average gear than IC payers
- It's now a lot harder to get gear on Lordaeron
so there will be no way lordaeron can ever compete on the ladder, which is really unfortunate since it is the only blizz-like server (which attracted many people to play warmane in the first place)

Full WF off parts, WF gloves/pants/chest, WG shouders, Relentless Helmed, x2 264 trinkets, 264 weapon. This will put you almost to 6k if not above. All this gear is easy to obtain for any pug player just by casually playing the game and its more then enough to push rating.
Oooooo so you one of this guys who recently join the server, but already complain that people who play for multiple years are way ahead and its impossible to catch it. Now is all make sense.Edited: March 6, 2019
