Pre-Patch for Wrath of the Lich King on Onyxia

If you are going to change the date, please at least make is sooner instead of delaying. The prepatch was supposed to start 7 days ago, waiting for release 2+ more month is terrible. TBC is a niche expansion and Onyxia is a progressive server, let's not stall the things more than they already are, even if it means that there are no Winter Veil activities this year or a prepatch starting early but lasting a month

I don't see an issue with launching on 27th, but I think Phase 1 opening just one week later (so one week to level to 80, and collect pre raid BIS) is too fast, particularly if some people cant play during xmas break due to being away with family. People need time to enjoy the levelling period and running dungeons with friends, but also collecting blue gear at 80 from the dungeons.

With all due respect , and i mean no offense, but coudnt you guys have considered this before posting the dates.

Some of us already changed plans and now we perhaps have to try and change it back.

On one hand, yes, we could have and didn't expect as much negative reaction, so that's something we can apologize for.
On the other, it's been just a couple hours, I'd be more empathetic if we had changed this after a couple days.

Least players?! Man late december is best time when players can grind the most! After 1st week of jan ppl with a job can only grind few hours after their job, late december would be a problem only for scheduled raids and u cant guarantee your raid attendance

We have discussed this internally, weighting the technical/logistics side of postponing the release and how this would affect players who celebrate these holidays, and decided that the launch of Wrath of the Lich King content will be delayed. We are finalizing the decision of an exact date and the initial post will be edited when that's finished.

Most of people have a lot of free time during holiday break for doing wotlk nonraid stuff like farming dungeons, reputation, professions and all other time consuming activities that wont really affect people who will have less time in for example first kills.

Im not sure what source you’re getting your feedback from that is causing these wildly quick changes… but delaying im fairly sure is the last thing anyone wants.

If ANYTHING bring it all forward a few weeks but delaying this to totally bypass any free time people have off is even worse than between xmas and NYE.

Can we at least get a poll with options so everyone can vote? I feel the devs have a small vocal group influencing this decision which is just inconvenient for everyone.

Have wrath launch date options:
- 13th December
- 27th December
- 10th January

This release is already so delayed please don’t push it even further…

Warmane should have just postponed phase 1 release for one more week, while keeping first wotlk dates. Instead of 3rd, phase 1 would be on 10th.
