That's where reincarnation and Karma kicks in.
If you believe in such things. I do.
Not really. I don't believe in any religion. I'm not part of any religion, I don't believe in any religion's god.
I have my own beliefs afters years of study and research and thinking.
My "religion" is the conclusion I have reached.
I think if there is a God, he isn't too concerned with helping you ace your math test or if you roll on the Shabbos.
I'm Agnostic, just so we cut down those "so edgy atheist" remarks. I believe in the concept of a God, I just don't think He cares about our comings and goings.
Have you read "On the Nature of Things" ?
New? I've seen a LOT of religion discussion around. Almost weekly there is at least a little religion-debate going on.
I'll look into it, thanks.
I miss Clovsrs.
12 paragraph expositions on the 'inherently false and evil nature' of religion grow on you after a while.
He was too limited in his beliefs.
There are very few people like you :|.
When I was really young I used to think God wasn't as powerful as everyone thought and he couldn't help everyone so he didn't help anyone at all. And that's when my beliefs of religion started to blow up :|.
I would love for there to be a religion thread but people would get 2angry4dafrums
I enjoy having debates on religion. The only time I start insulting peoples beliefs is when someone insults mine or if they start pushing their beliefs onto me (aka Jehovah Witnesses...They never come to my house anymore =/ ). I enjoy reading and listening to how people interpret the bible, life, death and their beliefs.
Oh I know that.
But watching the angry replies was similar to the ****storms in the Sargeras section. Quite entertaining.
Because if I pray, He may guide me to the right path, or the prayer just makes me more aware of my decisions. The latter is the rational, true effect prayer has on us. It affects our psyche.
As I've said many times, I believe God has created a big cluster of paths for us. Each decision is a crossroads, each consequence is a road. A map of the "life's journey" would look like something you'd get by taking branches from 10 trees, painting them, then slapping a paper with those branches. He wants to see how we fare, and has certain expectations.
Destiny exists, because all paths are pre-made, but free will exists as well, as we are free to choose from those limitless paths. Karma exists, because a bad choice usually has bad consequences. Taking the wrong turn sends you down a bad road.
It's a Fool's journey to World
I don't believe in destiny.
