I just got a lock to 5.4k gs on deathwing, pulling 9.5k dps in voa 25 easy because corruption rolls with haste. wait for eradication to proc during heroism/BL and recast corr. LOL. glyph of corr is so much better than glyph of life tap because of this, its not even funny

Hi, switched from demonology to affliction a few days ago and I'm loving it. Just wondering; what would be reasonable dps on a heroic training dummy self buffed? Also considering we cannot get them below 35%.

i saw that almost no one plays affliction in pve at the moment and this prolly because of the awesome rolling corruption :)

Nah it's mainly cuz locks are a luxury, rare commodities and we are obligated to play demonology. Oh and most noobs think affliction sucks cuz that's what they experienced when they are low geared and are stuck with the simple destruction rotation. Only a few dedicated end game players play affliction to its awesome potential. Myself, I'm constricted as being the only lock with most raids so am more comfortable spamming soul fire than perfecting my drain soul, even though I love quartz for the latter and enjoy aff as much as demo, 6 second corruptions make me fap and I shudder and get hyper excitatory when I realize switching my spell power focus to haste nd picking up engineering will reduce this further.

Is the Felhunter pet bugged? I ask this because sometimes when I summon it, it doesn't put up Fel Intelligence even when I click it on and off. Even when I resummon it, it still doesn't apply it. Usually I see the buff when I'm alone, but when I'm grouped it disappears, and I know it's not just cause I have too many buffs.

It does not stack with mage's intellect buff or with priest's spirit buff. So if you have either of these buffs on you then you won't see fel intelligence as a buff.

Affliction locks were recently fixed in 3 ways:

1. most important is the change to Corruption. Now whenever you refresh Corruption with Haunt or Shadowbolt, your haste dynamically updates. However, CRIT ISN'T. While NMIC is not bis if you have heroic ICC and RS trinkets, it is now a very powerful trinket for lower gs affliction warlocks and might put them on par with other warlock specs. This also means we have to use POTION OF WILD MAGIC instead of POTION OF SPEED as crit is not modified unless Corruption is manually cast on a target.

2. Soul Siphon is fixed, at least the 3rd dot counting towards increasing our Drain Soul and Drain Life damage. It's basically an extra 6% damage on our execute, affliction have stronger execute damage now.

3. ICC buff is now applied to pets. Not a huge deal for affliction compared to demonology warlocks and BM hunters, but it makes a minor increase in dps.

ALL OF THIS IS CONFIRMED AND WORKING. The first 2 are confirmed on training dummy tests, while the last one is confirmed during an ICC run as demonology.

I've a question about shadowbolt, do you spam it as affliction warlock? or just when 'nightfall' enters or corruption is almost over?

Shadowbolt is your filler, provided Corruption, Unstable Affliction and Curse of Agony is on the boss, Haunt is on cd and ur Life Tap buff is still up.
