Am I the only one that plays WoW on an old computer ("Intel integrated graphic card" says all lol) on a messy desk? Really, mine is THE ANTI GAMING desk. I really need to get a job and save money when I finish school. lol Or maybe not... I don't care very much about it.
Anyways nice desks guys, surely better than mine.

You're probably not using a PC as bad as one with integrated graphics since it appears to be custom-built, gaming-oriented on some level. Unless I'm wrong and that isn't an NZXT Phantom case on the ground?

2 290x's powering 7680x1080. integrated would make the pc explode and cause a black hole and suck me in.;)

although since WOW's engine only allows 2 cores to be utilized I still lag in game....:(

Have you ever had the though of putting a trash can next to your desk? Or if you don't want to buy a trashcan, you can always go to the dumpster of home depot and steal an empty five gallon bucket. There might be paint all over it, it'd kind of be like a decoration.

You're really getting fps dips in wow with a haswell i7 and 290x CF? Is your i7 overclocked at all?

But like I said, 2/4 cores are being used, the game is 100% maxed and is basically 4 1920x1080 monitors. That's A LOT of stress. And the game depends on cpu more it's usually 60-90. I have hit 200 on some places

No, I don't oc it, I wanted it for silence and no ugly heat sink. And I can get perfect fps in basically any game


The resolution got messed up when uploading should be 7680x1080

And for some reason I cannot use dx11 since it only lets me use one monitor

i have the 4770k. unclocked 4/4 cores being used. all 4 of my monitors at 1920x1080 and there is literally no stress on anything. why would you only unlock and use 2/4? makes no sense. you wont need heat sink even with OC. i run 70-90 fps while streaming in 1080 HD. and about 140-170 fps when stream is off. how is your fps so low in comparison? must be a weak gfx card or something holding you back in that department.

Here. Dx11 gives you more power so unless you are using dx11 I call bull**** but I don't know how since it won't let me

WoW utilizes 4 cores since WoTLK came out lol. They even improved it when cataclysm rolled out.


My i7 2600k is kicking *** so I really don't understand your fps drops.


Also crossfire/sli support on WoW is really bad.

Yeah, you saw my link? Dx9? And how I cannot use 11?
One card is worse then two so not an option.

The performance change between dx9 and dx11 is extremely small. Does not justify why someone would get frame dips in lets say raids or battlegrounds. If you're actually talking about FPS drops in the pandaren city then no, you won't get over 60 fps in a highly populated city such as shrine in pandaria. It's impossible and nobody should believe anyone who says otherwise unless someone actuallly takes their time to change their settings to a lower value just so they can try to prove a point.


But honestly you not being able to turn on directx 11 seems to be a driver related issue, probably from running a CF configuration.
