1. You guys should know by now that Developers who scripts the server are not involved in the events or the store. They work parallelly.

  2. Merging the two MoP realms would only increase Warmane's problems significantly.

First of all, the logistics of merging two realms are huge, with many bugs that will occur, different economies, character names, guild names, etc.

Second of all, the new MoP realm would be heavily populated, with non-donors not even being able to enter the realm and significant lag/instability for those that do enter (think Stormstout pre-moltdown).

The only solution to Sargeras's problems would be to have free transfers from Frostwolf to Sargeras and promoting Sargeras. You could even offer Vote Points as an incentive to transfer.

Other than this, only cross-realm features can help the realm.

Sorry, there is one other solution. Increase the rates on Sargeras and lower the rates on Frostwolf. Historically, high rate realms have had higher population (Ragnaros and Sargeras pre-moltdown)

  3. Hello there,

Lately this is now a really worrying problem since even on peak hours, the amount of people doesn't feel right for such a big game. Most guilds may be already feeling some stress on finding 25+ active players, even worst if they are not scheduling on usual server times. I'd say PvP is the one that is doing better at the moment, but it will slowly become too dead for it to be interesting...

I believe that doing a merge is rather hard, since there are many factors to take into account, the bigger probably being the stability of the realm... Lets hope that developers find a way to address this stuff if a merge takes place.

Another thing some people mentioned (including a dev) was cross realm functions, but I would say that it may not solve the real problem(thats what I think from my non existant knowledge of what cross realm functions would be), but would just be a way to make some players happy for a while.

I hope Warmane staff manages to find a solution as soon as they can and that it is a really good solution ^_^

You mean Clustered Load Balancing? Something no other private server has, nor will have in the near future? xD You mean having up to 10k single-expansion players connected to each other having things like bg's/dungeon finders/raid finders all working togheter? you mean like going alone lvling in areas where you don't see many ppl, and then queueing up for a dungeon finder and instantly finding tons of ppl to play with at your level? :x One of the best things about retail is brought by clustered load balancing properties and avdvantages.

If molten gets it done, believe me, all the private servers will try to stop it.

If you don't have the guts to improve then don't call yourself "the best private server" on your banner in the toplist.

If you had realised how difficult programming is, you would know why it isn't implemented yet.

Warmane announced Clustered Load Balance two years ago - possible development was earlier - but due to its complexity and difficulties of programming, the development stopped for greater priorities. The project resumed later last year, and is approximately ~80% complete.

Perhaps you will see it towards the end of this year, or the next.

I highly doubt that its really 80% complete because that would mean that we get CLB in this year...
Kaer said on the live stream that CLB is a "vision". I think it will take at least 2 more years or wont come at all because of unexpected problems.
Are they even working on CLB right now?
I think its development is still on hold.

Well my man, they are paid workers just like any other developer. If you had seen our devs' salary you would know why I'm saying it like that.
Warmane has a professional staff with high salaries. Just like any other game developer. Blizzard devs earn +- the same amount as warmane's. Before the hijack molten's banner on the toplist implied that they were the best private server. Well maybe they were maybe they were not, but who else other than the 'best' can bring something on the table that other servers don't have. Why is/was molten the best? I can't see a reason why they should call themselves the best if they can't bring something truly big on the table.
If they bring CLB up, then there won't be anybody who'll reject that they are the most advanced private server. If they don't then they are just another private server with a big population(which has been halved during the hijack). There are 2 russian private servers out there, one of em was having 10k players online during peak hours on a single realm and keep it stable. Why can't molten do that?

  9. Something needs to be done now really.Several days ago i saw both wotlk realms with 2k+ ppl at this time and today its around 1.9 k ppl at the same time.Only MOP realms aren't affected, all realms are or maybe it is just me i guess.

This is not the peak time for Westerners that make up a huge majority of WoTLK realms.

Must've been just me then ~.~

  12. Now its not about MOP realms future but whole molten. After moltdown server is slowly dying with ongoing population decline. Number of players that are currently playing is just silly, and that wasnt an issue back in past. During peak EU times we had to wait for 1-2 hr+ in queue to be able to log in(non donors),and besides peak time there was always around 15k+ playing around all realms, fairly close to cap. I remember when I came back to home, what I did was, loging into the game just to sit in queue while I eat or w/e...

There is no new players coming to molten and old ones are leaving. We miss old voting system when molten was #1 on vote sites. Also people are bored of this game ,plus issue with no new content... it is killing molten-wow. They said they will update devlog daily or often enough to keep with us but nothing is happening. What they did is, that they started fast with developing after moltdown but this fire doesnt exist anymore. So sad.
There are no results with AT merge. Maybe it was bad.
Molten used to be one of the best servers back when we had only WOTLK. This is the only time when they could've call themselves "the best".

  13. i am in worry bcoz Kear is not responding to this thread, didnt saw him posting for weeks at all. Malaco and Leona seems to be missing for a long time too

edit: kaers last post was 6 days ago and since this time he didnt logged, and he got the rank Staff not Founder anymore, so something is going on here :S
