1. Its called open "Called Stabled Pets", leave it open, rotate after every COTW is on CD? no secret super method, just logic :D funny how people think they are awesome hunter playazz, while they dont even know this ****, its embarrassing

  2. I'm fairly certain initiating combat or taking damage should close the Call Stabled Pet interface, though.

it does indeed, but i didnt know that u will take dmg from patchwerk, right? :)

Tooltip states it doesn't work in combat, which means that you probably are very much right. However, as of this moment it seems that only taking damage triggers the interface to close. Am I right in assuming it's glitched? I have no experience with how this worked in retail.

@smille - This is my first time raiding as a wotlk hunter, I never proclaimed myself as an expert or 'awesome hunter player'. Thanks for the tip! :)

Since when bug abusers are considered "awesome players"?

even tho SV might be good for patchwerk, u should play MM for thaddius/loatheb at least, u will deal way more than u did last time as sv :)

I already play MM for loatheb considering how insanely good piercing shots works with 100% crit (amongst other stuff). But for Thaddius - yeah I kinda agree. I started out as MM but I've been trying SV now just to see what happens. The issue is that Thaddius is pretty RNG damage-wise seeing as you might get unlucky with polarity shifts and as such end up getting screwed over a bit.

Either way I'm going to switch fulltime MM in Ulduar when I can pick up some more crit/arp pieces. I don't doubt SV can perform equal to MM with t8 level stuff, but honestly the spec is a pain to play compared to MM for any boss that isn't tank and spank like PW, due to the fact that you have to run up and place two traps. I also noticed that melee swings cancel the call stabled pet function, which in turn means that using it as SV is even harder when you have to deselect your target every time you run up to place traps, lol.

But as I said earlier, thanks for the tips! You miss a lot of seemingly obvious **** early on, so it takes some time to figure out the smaller, more subtle parts of playing your class in any expansion when you're new to it like I am. I've just been fortunate to get to be in the same guild as Obscurred, who has taught me a lot about playing a wotlk hunter! :)

it isnt random for thaddius, all u have to do is apply your serpent sting new while u got your polar shift, you should refresh it tho on the side which has one more stack(and that is only once during all fight), i guess that should be always minus? if u do that, u will easily do 14k dps and yes, mm will out dps in ulduar just bec of the stats which is on the gear/trinket wise

It's random in the sense that if you get unlucky you get polarity shifts a lot, which forces you to move (which means interrupted rotations and lost auto shots). I've had my DPS fluctuate quite a lot due to that on our thaddius kills :)

i had to move quite a bit as well, of course there will be better and worse times, but disengange instantly and u will only have a marginal dps loss. overall it will still deal more dps just bec of the multiplicator for chimera shot - serpent. i mean i have not even good gear but i did already 13k to that boss (200 ilvl weapon) i would press around 15k+ easily if i had better gear
