When I started playing mage in TBC, I thought I could tank Illidan Stormrage. Whats worse is the rest of the raid thought i could to. Not sure how we even made it to him haha.

And up until about a few weeks before WOTLK, i thought warriors were the only good class at PvP :D

Meh the 1st class I played as in WoW was rogue... and what I didn't know was that when going into stealth I was supposed to put the spells on the bars again... so I was clicking them from the spellbook :|

This was back when I was new to WoW, and I tried it because I was bored

I played WoW for a couple months on retail then quit cause I didn't want to pay. Another friend started laughing at me because I only did 600 dps. I would button spam. I called him an ***** because I was looking at Damage Done. My brother's friend who used to play on a TBC server had to tell me about combo points after me being 80 for about 2 weeks.

When I first started, back a long time ago.
A friend of mine told me to play, and I'd never really played many games likewise to WoW before-hand.
We got to like lvl 6, and he had to go, the next day he went on a trip for 2 days.
We rolled Orcs, and what I didn't know was that you could run out of the valley of trials, with me being stupid I was killing lvl 8 mobs when I was lvl 12 for 2 days wondering how long it'd take to get to lvl 80. (I did this because for some reason, on the server I played I saw about 6 lvl 80s killing mobs in the valley.

When I firstly started WoW, I wanted to explore the world.
So, I went (with my level 3) to Durotar through Darkshore, Ashenvale, The Barrens, Durotar.
When I finally got there, I saw some players riding in a big city. (Orgrimmar)
So, I walked in there and saw guards attacking me.
I tried it for another 4 times.

After that I saw the zeppelins. ( > Northrend)
Got killed some time...

Noob times were great though, better than the current WoW. =)

I spent a lot of time just walking around different zones as a ghost, I used to spend all my money buying white gear from vendors, worst of all my first toon was a pally D:

I thought raiding only meant killing killing the leaders of the opposite fraction.
My first char was a warlock and when I first went on a Naxx raid I didn't know how to open a portal.
Speaking of my old warlock (R.I.P.) I didn't have any of my pets until about lvl30-35
My second char was a priest (I wanted a healer) I didn't want to retalent so I didn't put my points into shadow and I thought it would be pointless to put them into holy or disc. lolwut?

bonus guilty secret of high-end level 85 play: playing a resto shaman... female draenei.

I get a case of datass during games at times.

Mine is a classic one, leveled until like level 40 without going to trainer or using talents. Yes, I was a lvl 40 mate with fireball.

At this point i remember another kinda facepalm thing.
My first toon was a belf (i actually flipped a coin between dreanei and blood elf) it was on another server they had a portal to grom gol in silvermoon and i actually kept running and running and running (and dieing offcourse) towards a random direction. -> past rebel camp -> duskwood -> redridge (edge) -> elwyn forest (enemy terretory) I was like WHOAHOHOHOH enemy terretory im so good for getting here things are gone get exiting -> ran into goldsire BAM dead.... then i felt kinda baddass
