You don't have school in Romania? I mean a lot of what you'll know doesn't come from school, especially when you compare it to American education, but it's still putting you at a disadvantage there.
You learn about history so you don't repeat it, that's the most simple way of putting it.

I wasn't implying you were stupid or something, or trying to be condescending, I usually don't ever consider anyone who knows multiple languages stupid, I'm just saying that history is one of the main only 'helpful' classes you will take in the long run, and that it's important. Making a joke and forgetting about tragedies doesn't make them go away, it makes you vulnerable to more.

I hate seeing so many posts about 9/11. Everywhere I look, whether I'm logging in to my twitter/tumblr/Facebook/other **** I have there's a million posts about 9/11. Yes, it was tragic and it's good people are paying their respects to those who have died but there's currently a war in Syria and nobody gives a ****.

It's sick to make jokes about wars, and I'm late to say this as I can see the problem has been sorted but this is to say RIP to those who have died in the war in Syria, I think people overlook that.

Plenty of people care about the war in Syria, it's kind of a big deal, just because people aren't talking about it today doesn't mean people are oblivious to it or something. People would throw the same fit if no one mentioned 9/11 and were too preoccupied with Syria. And there's the same argument that you can always throw around on any website to make everyone look bad, and mention something worse that's happening, like 7 killed in Cambodia or something, there's ALWAYS major tragedies going on.
It's probably because you're younger so the people you follow/friend are going to be different. For mine they're mostly around ~18-25 and they talk about it constantly.
