The very first time I played WoW, I played on a x20 realm. When I got to 80 I still had no idea what I was doing, and couldn't figure out what gear I needed for my class. I kept getting out DPSed by the tank.
This happened today.
I'm a WOTLK player, and today was my first day on Cataclysm. I spent half an hour wandering outside Orgrimmar, asking random duelists, and basically tearing my hair out until someone told me that the Zeppelin towers are now inside the city.
Derp.
this is an awesome thread to laugh at! :p
Here is my one: Back in TBC i didnt know about zeppelins and boats so I took my ntb to a friends house, went to Echo Isles and we wanted to swim across the Sea...we were switching in holding W :D
Haha LMAO :D :D
When I first got retail WoW (right after TBC came out) I was beyond confused with the talents system... I have yet to figure it out. :/
Ive only been playing wow for two months....and it consumes my life.....and i haide it from my wife
When I first played wow, my number 1 rule was STACK STAMINA (I liked to PVP so I thought more health = out lasting opponents)
so I had Tauren warrior + mining + fury spec (two 2H weapon gave more stamina bonus) and then stacked a lot of tanking plate armor
#2 rule: PVP gear in PVE, cus it was easy to craft (no need for frozen orb, rune orb etc) and I thought resilience worked for mobs too
#3: Never used gem or enchants or glyphs for the first few months of playing
#4:Played a ret pally, thought threat was a good thing, and kept HoR the boss (because back then it did some damage so I thought it's good for DPS)
yeah I was a pretty bad noob:D
Tell this to about 50% of Ragnaros Alliance please :)
My first character was a human mage. And I didn't hesitate to go to the 30+ lands while I was just a lvl 15 newbie without skills.
(3 years ago, one of my best time in that game, when I didn't know where, who, why and what to do, between questing, exploring or swimming into Stormwind's water [I always thought swimming will give strenght to my character])
menz that aint pathetic ...
hear mine and try to beat it : when i first started playing i just took my brother account who stopped playing , so i was already 60 (vanilla time) after a few days of enjoying the game (you know how the first days are addicted ) i managed to get in a AQ20 raid , the loot was nbg since most people were well geared anyway and AQ pug farmable
well
i rolled need on a plate epic as a mage because it was the first epic i saw dropping and was like :
omg must have it , must have
won the item and got kicked , still complained about how unfriendly some people are :D
---------------------------------
actually wait ...there is an equally pathetic thing i tried doing
i started my own char , wanted to travel to eastern kingdom (night elf) , i asked and was told to take the boat to auberdin and so i did
after that i didnt know what to do , so ..................... i tried swimming to eastern kingdom lololo
after many deaths and walks from fatigue , i ended up hitting the invisible wall and ....well u can guess
Some of us still do that :D
