Once I gear up mine I will show you some pictures. I have done 16k dps on dbs 10nm with 6k gs without major raid buffs, with the incite spec of course. The potential of arms is much higher than people expect.
I'm saying that if you wear bis arms gear in fury spec dps will be different with that much compere with bis fury gear in fury spec. Not dps itself between arms and fury specs.
I`ve been in pugs where bis arms was more than 14k dps, 16k+ (now after the wipe). Everyone can play what ever they likes, you see so many BIS Balance Druids but compere to dmg output they are just a waste of gear because any other class will do more in BIS gear so why they play it?
If you learn to play it correct you`ll be up to 3k max dps behind fury warriors on some fights you may be on top.Fury is overall better for pve, but arms have hes + too. Do what ever you like and let haters do their job and hate.
The main selling point of Arms is +4% physical damage.
The bleed debuff is less powerful because the specs which depend on it the most (arms/feral druids) already provide the debuff themelves.
Also, there's evidence that it the debuff might not be working quite as intended. I was testing it with my hunter a week ago, and the 30% bleed debuff wasn't increasing the damage from hunter bleeds like it should.
I`ve seen an Arms warrior do 20k DPS @DBS, so it isn`t too bad.
Oh, and you`re probably better off using DVhc instead of DBW in the fullbis, you can afford to gem for the ArP instead, and DVhc has a better (more reliable) proc as you will likely not get a single DPS out of the DBW haste one.
In that case whispering fanged skull does more because of the passive crit and since there is no crit cap on molten.
Of coarse, play what you like, tough getting in raids may prove difficult... no one wants to carry dude that actually brings nothing to the table.
Ferals bring same increased bleed damage debuff and can pull on par with others.
Combat rogues bring same increased 4% physical damage debuff and can pull on par with others.
Can someone provide legit screen of those "omgaws arms 20k dps", not staged with hysterias and shet?
Otherwise stop misleading people, that is not nice thing to do.
@angrylol First of all people that choose to play arms means they have had their fair share experience in raids and knowing limits of each class. We do not choose it because it doesn't perform as easily as a FFB mage even though it's my main. We choose it because we wan't to prove a point that it's NOT the CLASS or SPEC you play, but the player. Playing every class for a long time comes to be boring after a while, playing an undermined spec is much more fun than playing the typical specs.
- Also you said no one wants to "carry" a spec that brings nothing to the table? You must do pugs lol.
So you are saying that you can actually push progress with Arms? You can do your part?
Could you do endgame bosses with subtlety rogues, frost mages and arms warriors?
Maybe you like "victim" role or something "I'm so skilled and uhoh, look how I'm performing with my undermined spec /flex".
As you said, its not about class or spec, so why do you want to burden your friends with class that is not capable?
Its fun for you, ok go with it, but don't mislead other players, be honest - you will always be low, right next to tanks on damage done and I'm not talking about pugs, I can beat some vegetables on damage with my white hits.
Play resto tree dps for all I care, that is the WoW you play. But stop spew bad information.
if youre pulling just above tank dps with arms, then youre probably getting carried in other specs aswell
I wrote you a huge wall of text but it got deleted and now im just gonna rewrite it in tl;dr.
- You can do your part?
Yes I can. Even more so then a mage that will only do dps. Can he charge/intercept an enraged shambling on the OT in transition? Can he shield slam/pummel the 0.5 raging spirit cast? Can he thunder clap/demo shout the adds to reduce dmg on OT? Can he soak spirits with shield wall? Can he intervene a high threat target? No. Mages only do damage and the only reason you think they are more useful is because you see them on top dps because of the bugs on molten.
-You can do endgame bosses with frost mage etc? Frost mages were usedon retail just as much as ffb mages so you clearly have no clue what you're saying.
-Burden my friends? Burden them with what exactly? What's your logic even? Let me play the same spec that I don't want to for months and months just because it does 2k dps more?
-Mislead other players? Mislead them how? Arms is a hard spec to play not everyone has the skill/efficiency to pull it off. Just because 95% of the peoe that try out arms see their lacklister dps and just stand there and rage starve and dps, and then proceed to blame a guy on the forum that mislead them? This is the game I play, retail like where almost every class and spec was viable not molten where most are bugged. We play different wow's.
sure, arms warrs are bugged on molten comparing to retail (damn those Smourne warriors).
- Can he shield slam/pummel the 0.5 raging spirit cast?
any tank can do it without you or mage
- Frost mages were used on retail just as much as ffb mages so you clearly have no clue what you're saying.
were used only to slow adds on 1 fight
- Fury wariors can do all the same things. Also Warlocks with felguard and in demo form. Also paladins can stun them. And lots of other clases too. All that while pulling good dps.
- Yeah, frost mages as much as ffb mages.... ok special guy, have a special day. I see you hate mages very much lol. How about you stick your nose out of pos farms?
- I bet all your guildees think "omg again this arms bowlshet, he brings his attitude as benefit to raid for sure" while they have to do extra to carry your epic imba skilled top 5% arse.
- How about you provide some prof of your claims, how good is arms and such. Give us screen of your success on every boss of one raid. Prove that I'm wrong and you are telling legit info here, that arms are good enough. Otherwise its just talk how much you can do and how mages boast about their damage while pressing one button.
P.S. WoW is not a rocket science, I'm very sorry if you have only played in such environment that you think its something special.
Hi guys, i wanna try Arms Warrior PVE, with the ¨New Core¨ in Icecrown Server, lets see how it goes with this guide :)
If it can be updated to Warmane new core will be great¡
cheers •u•
It is pretty much up to date. Only difference vs the old core is that you don't need 9%hit anymore.
There is a bug you should know about (it was on old core as well) - battle stance does not give armor penetration, but armor reduction (they are not the same thing) - this means that it will perform a bit weaker - nothing to fuss about too much though. And that armor penetration cap is still 1400 arp even for arms war instead of 1260 -> both are unreachable for icecrown at the moment I believe - but its something to keep in mind.
