Cata was getting updates all the time before 2-3 years while WOTLK wasnt touched for 6+ months but WOTLK still had more players. MoP came and all the kids that like playing the "newest" left Cata. Molten/AT merge, some WOTLK updates, Lordaeron opened and Cata died. Just google "wow subscriptions graph", its obvious where the drop is. You cant make bad expansion good.
Because Wrath had much less bugs...most things don't work on Cata where most things did work on Wrath, sadly since the new core, Wrath is in just as bad or a state as Cata. But Wrath will also get fixed much faster while Cata will still be ignored. And Cata was still very popular after they released the abomination of an expansion that is MoP.
Are you kidding me? If you're such a moltener you know that there was constantly 2k players queue on each of cata realms with 2-3-4k players online
^, agreed!
this, still remember turning on pc at 8 am and starting to play at 8 pm, then crying myself to death when i have to go tomorow to work, soo i just go off at 9pm >.<
bestest meme
indeed xDD
Yes, when Cata was fresh, MoP had crazy queue too. As I said both expansions lured the kids that want everything "new", if warmane opens WoD it will be full at the beginning too and after some time it will follow Cata and MoP. You can sugarcoat it as much as you want, but numbers dont lie, Cata is FAIL as expansion.
Wrong, cata was always populated, also after years of existence on molten/warmane.
Population dropped due to lack of attention from developers and that is the only reason. I was afraid of that outcome, but now it`s definately too late to safe cata on warmane.
#ripcata
Since they indicate themselves as "WOTLK Private Server" nothing much will change.
If you don't like it, then don't play it, simple as that.
Cata's numbers didn't start to drop until well after the wipe...that was a good while after MoP was released. If you have no clue what you're talking about, why bother responding?
They started to drop long ago and now is totally dead. Having 1-2k players while the WOTLK realms have 24k players is huge difference.
I dont like it but thats not the problem, the majority of the players dont like it, thats why Cata is in this state, simple as that. There were enough posts when MoP opened that Cata will die. Updates wont change a **** and aint even worth the resources. The whole population is Tdot & friends vs Tdot haters, this guy keeps whats left of the players.

Cata was HUGE on molten at one time. Its so obvious its only dead now because of lack of attention to cata.Heres some pics of how cata population used to be.
And heres one after the moltdown with maxed out que on neltharion
