Stuck at retrieving character list

hey i have the problem from 6 hours ago last night everything was fine but today stuck on retrieve character list i tried some dns and vpn nothing is working im from IRAN my friends are playing so it does not mean the problem is the country pls do somethhing idk like reset the servers or do something

Step by step:
1. Download Zapret 1.7.1 here: https://github.com/Flowseal/zapret-d...ases/tag/1.7.1
2. Unpack it into a new folder on the desktop.
3. Go to the folder and turn on general (MGC2). (we do not close the command line window)
4. Turn on any worked VPN you have (it need for step 5)
5. Download Warp 1.1.1.1 here: https://one.one.one.one / (Click on the Windows icon) and install.
6. In the Warp application, click on the circle (lever) - this will turn on Warp.
7. Play

i even position for the queue the icecrown and wait for 200 ppl but after that stuck on character list

if the servers were blocked from inside the country, we would not be able to see the list of servers, the problem is that our PCs connect to the server, the list is visible, everything is good, but the list is not visible, the personal account works without any bypasses, maybe something is happening on your routes? Could the data center's policy have changed? Has there been any news from it? tracing the paths to logon shows that there are no problems with the paths. on other servers, even of Russian origin, but with a data base in Europe, such problems were usually associated with the routes to the data centers where these servers were located, or with other problems

Hello so I lately keep getting this weird thing that I cant log into the game, I put in my user/pw and it sends me the auth number and i put it in I get in the que for the servers and when the que ends it stucks on "Retrieving character list" and it disconnets after a few seconds, I've tried different wifi/internets it works but it doesnt let me in on my main PC/wifi

I got this error: "Unable to connect. Please try again later. If the problem persist, please contact technical support at: blizz/rootcategoryID"
This happen after window11 update.
Tried to repaste warmane realmlist. Nothing
Tried closing opening the game. Nothing
Before 11.06 update I was connecting w/o problems.

Try to right-click your wow.exe, go to properties->compatibility and click on Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 7. Also make sure you tick on Disable fullscreen optimizations and Run this program as an administrator if you haven't done that already.

That's incorrect. The login server and game servers are in different locations, which is why you can pass the credentials check, but then get stuck when it comes to connecting to the game itself. One of them is being blocked by a country or ISP, the other isn't.

Which VPN worked for you? A lot of people mention Amnezia but then others reply that it didn't work for them. Just don't want to pay for sth that might not work ... yet) The Free version didn't work for me(
BTW have seen more solutions in a somewhat more organized way here (but not for wow in particular):

so what do u suggest me doing now? i can log into the game easily but it stucks on "retrieving characters" and then after a few seconds I get DCed, how do I fix it?
