Hi. Just started playing on Frostwolf a couple months ago. I wanted to play Cata. And, well, that's unfortunate...
I didn't had any max level characters or anything. Playing really slow like, enjoying the vibes, watching Garr call Syl a btch. Good times! Still. Kinda of a bummer. Kinda feels like I just wasted my time. *sigh* I did enjoy my time though. This game is a nostalgia trip. It's timeless!
Maybe I'll restart on a different server at some point. Right now I don't really feel like it...

alaas, it was inevitable, and i'm supprised it lasted this long, considering its state past few years...
i first joined years back during molten, just few months before mop's first release, played it extensively from begining, trough all the drama, restarts, merges, hardships, frendships, rivalries, and lots of good times :) at a time i achieved to be one of best/strongest player on server (i like to think so).
quitted years back when population was still good, not just this, but games and pc alltogether, had to due to life, work ...
now i can only say, WARMANE, THANK YOU, VERY MUCH, for giveing me oportunity to play this, and all for free. that was my reason for being here in the first place. some people canot afford such luxuries as paying for games, some ppl can be happy to have pc and internet.
it was mere chance that i opened warmane page now, and to find out abbout shut down. (bdw experienced game shutdown twice before in past, combat arms, and shaiya phoenix).
i'm gonna try to log in one last time before shut down, perhaps there is more people who feel similar, if so we could gather and farewell our frostwolf.

no one wants a hero in Onyxia we want a certain number of coins at hero level 90 for example 50-100coins

as someone who went through the cataclysm shutdown. I feel bad for your guys..... but also. i honestly cant believe it took this long to make this decision. Considering cataclysm got shut down much much faster with a much bigger population.

back during cata we got told databases would be saved if warmane ever decided to re-open cata. would this also be the case for MOP ?
and if no, does that expansions past wrath have been put on pause?

You can't. That wasn't mentioned or even hinted at anywhere, nor would it make any sense whatsoever to allow something like that, no idea where did you got that from.

In 3 years from now, Onyxia will probably be on MoP expansion. Taking in account the activity of Onyxia and how most resources got dumped onto the progression server, we'll have Wotlk for next year, then we will relive the Cataclysm and then MoP.

This is just my own speculation, but it'll be sad to have all those databases and not use them in the progression realm.

i invite everyone to come online one last time, gather, and farewell our belowed characters, guilds, frostwolf and eachother

this server started early 2015. i just realize thats more than 10 years.
og players migt even remamber mop first release on molten, servers were stormstout and hellscream, that lasted some half year before molten collapsed and became warmane, than we had frostwolf and sargeras, full of players, with q's to enter. back than i played it all day every day.
and even tho sometimes we may have endured hardships, buggs, spammers, cheaters, haters, rollbacks, premades, defeats, drama, and so on
there were also frendships, victories, achievements, funn times... and at the end, it all made good memories. i am sad, but also i am gratefull.

i recommend we all gather, in vale of eternal blossoms, on hill where bigg mogu statues are from login screen, thats neutral area, with nice view, and it is iconic for pandaria, but thats just my recommendation, unless someone has better idea.

The corpse isn't even cold and you're complaining and going "scam" because the spoils didn't get split fast enough for your liking. Get a grip.
