1. So why ppl who put items in AH should decrease prices ? we do not affect at all we farm mats (its not changed ) and we will put our prices , but the point here that new comer will not afford it cuz they got ****ed by new gold rate and we will not decrease the prices that much cuz there is no new ppl with proff (thx to new prof rate ) so its the same for us and i like that ppl cant lvl proff (except for coins and thats what u like )

  2. is *** [ SHADOWOMOURNE ] *** price going to change? like 200$ ? :D:DD possible 100$ ?
yes very relevant ... and no it's at 150 coins because this means not every nut with a dk/pala/war will have one

  3. 1. Blizzard worked out a really neat trick in the retail game: your professions, pretty much, unless you're lazy, will level with your character level, so you have a reason to craft, because you can actually use the **** you craft as you level.

When you increase character levelling rates, profession levelling rates need to be commensurate. It's really not that hard to comprehend.

    2. Taking away people's gold is an outrageous act of bigbrotherism. At least to western sensibilities. Maybe in some socialistic mindframe, it's okay. But for most of us, it's Draconian and very offputting, and frankly, makes me wanna just go play something else, on principle.

    3. Perhaps the worst decision of this mess is with reputation. Private servers are a way for us to still enjoy the aspects of WoW that are fun without the repetitive nature of things Blizzard has completely no sense about, like reputation levelling.

If this is really only about the economy, yes—create money sinks.

Dramatically increase the price to repair gear, mats, etc. Or heck, customise something fun and unique to Warmane, like selling expensive tickets to play in a special tournament, or inworld game of chance or trivia, or even just a lottery, with exceptional prizes. You could sell temporary mounts to lowbies. You could sell special character customisations. Money sinks can actually be fun, if creative.

But these changes you want to instigate, not fun. And, you know, that's what games are supposed to be.
and grinding is boring and completely "unfun" :(

  4. I really have no idea what's the real intention behind all these changes. They first try their best not to intervene into any sort of players activities as long as players follow the rules then out of sudden they decide to step in and adjust all these rate. I guess they probably listen to those guys who want to play on x1 rate server but with rdf and normal raid thus decide to drag entire population into these blizzlike changes but compromise a bit to lessen the negative reaction from existing players. So what's next if this is their plan then? icecrown will become the second lordaeron by next year?

  5. ITT: People who think they understand economics.

  6. "On October 1, 2016 we will be reducing some of the realm rates to further accommodate the concept of blizz-like and improve overall players' enjoyment."
Dear Warmane staff, what you see as enjoyment, isn't what actual players want. If we wanted to grind and farm whole day every day, we would go to Lordaeron.
How do you think that having x7 exp and x1 profession and reputation rates will improve playing experience? Every new player will have to first get max level, then either buy gold and level professions from AH, or go back into low level zones and grind mats endlessly.
You also said that you want players to work hard for their achievements and titles (which is contrary to why people came here at first place - to not work hard), but you forgot that thousands of players already have them, and that those special feats are no longer special, actually they are pretty common today. It's too late for doing this.
This change came out of nowhere, you let people give their feedback, but actually you don't really take it seriously.
Unfortunately this just leaves an impression that you are trying to keep players on your servers at all cost, which is legitimate, but its a wrong way to do it...

  7. improve overall players' enjoyment
I actually lol'd the first time I read that manipulation attempt. After all, everyone who has been playing on a high rate realm has secretly been waiting for it to be turned into a low rate one. x1 prof's and rep?...FINALLY!

  8. So let me get this straight, you do this to make it more blizz-like yet on the MoP server 80% of the quests dont work, most of the dungeons as well and not to mention it goes down so frequently Im not even surprised when it happens anymore. How exactly does that compare to the perfectly *almost* functioning blizzard servers? If I wanted to grind Id go on retail and play there, I came here to play some MoP and have fun not to grind professions like Id normally do on retail.

  9. i never met anyone in game that regretted missing content while leveling,
where does this concept come from?

anyone with half a brain and some gold can profit hugely with the gold is squished...if they start now

  10. blizz-like ??

I have never played on retail. But can someone tell me Blizz also squish gold like this ?

I guess adding some kind of gold drain... like gold along with vote point/ coin in marketplace will be better option.

  11. I am not sure myself how long these servers has been up by date, but I know for a fact that most people have been able to max out almost everything. So won't it be any fun at all, to actually have something to do?
I look at these changes also a way to increase world pvp - by making people hunt more after the crafting items, and people will have to figth for it.
Lel of course you dont have any idea about important events regarding molten on the last 1 year and a half, you joined may 2016
We had moltdown on christmas/new year of 2014-2015, everybody lost everything, but realms were really active at that time, even cataclysm, which existed since 2012, wotlk ones were even older, so yeah you dont know nothing about it

Yes, lets increase world ganking as people will look for ores that dont exist while they should be all over the place (im looking at you, Outland), see thats the problem, you people that joined only for Lordaeron dont have a clue about the states of the other expansions and yet you keep saying things as if the players who are there were just a bunch of egotistic kids, no we are not, I myself gave 300-1k gold and 4x 16 slots bags to at least 20 newcomers on the past months, and I craft vicious crap to naked 85 that seem to need, free of charge and only asking for volatiles that are another pain to farm, trying to make them stay on a neglected realm, because if we dont attract newcomers the realm will die, thats for sure, but theres nothing to do if the same newcomers will have a harder time leveling professions now, theres no point

  12. It's hilarious that they try to claim this whole thing is to help the economy, especially now that prices are dropping and dropping, even Lichbloom which was over 5k a stack a couple months ago is now 1k a stack. Yet they never cared when primos were 15k each...they are now 2500. It's obvious that economy has nothing to do with it.

  13. Some points I read through the post:
    1) It looks like Staff opens a thread for feedback but always have an answer to players who oppose this, and quote a (one in a millon) player who agrees the Staff. Just say you're going to do what you want and don't even bother opening "feedback" threads.
    2) Prices in marketplace is run for the players by the players. Prices will deflate if the players want. Economy is not maths, and if you cut 50% of the gold, the overall prices won't fall 50% exactly. On top of that, some fix prices (mounts and riding, skills, proffesion skills, repair, etc) don't even drop, so cutting off the gold only gives more buying power to players who capped it, what means they'll raise prices on marketplace as they want (economy is not just offer/demand matter you know, people' will is not a math matter either).
    3) Lowering reps and proffs rates to 1x it's just kinda random. First, people (like me) will now start capping alts with all proffesions and start grinding rep for my main char, what will make my achievements/titles easier to get that newcomers and I'll be able to extract/craft/sell to people that don't want (or don't have time) to level a proffesion in 1x. Simply you say you want to benefit newcomers but you'll make their experience even harder and the difference between newcomers and actual players will be even bigger.
    4) Must say I always leveled my chars by doing quests and leveling proffesion at same time, because in 7x you skip many quests so you skip some gear the quests give to you. For example, that makes you to be lvl 30 with lvl 20 or lower gear, which makes leveling a bit difficult (not even to mention there are few RDF users on lower levels). My solution was leveling proffesion so I could craft the gear, but putting proffesion to 1x will make that really hard.
    5) Many people playing here don't play or look for a "full RPG experience in WoW universe", and they rush through all content ignoring roleplay just to make their chars stronger. That's why they chose to play on a full 7x realm. If they wanted a blizz-like experience, they have Lordaeron or even retail.

  14. There is 1 thing Warmane will never be able to calculate. And that is the number of potential new players that will simply choose never to play here at all after these changes are made. Seeing x1 for professions and rep is a HUGE turnoff for most people looking to play these older expansions, not to mention a deterrent to existing players to stick around leveling alts knowing they will have to deal with this nonsense after choosing to play on a high rate realm.
I just can't help feeling like their plan to extend these grinds so players wont get bored as soon and leave, is just going to backfire on them.

  15. This just all seems like a bad dream, I can't for the life of me figure out why kaer wolf would abandon all high rate servers and kill off a great server for the casual gamer. Who has time to grind rep on all their alts, this is why I chose to play on 20x ragnaros in the first place.
The average gamer these days is married , with kids and a full time job, I'm sure I can speak for most when I say they don't wanna spend 7x as long grinding rep and profs. Not to mention any new player to the server now has a bigger hill to climb to become competitive, so I'm sure we will see even more useless and naked players in BGs.
I really hope they change their minds on the rate decrease, it mainly just punishes the casual gamer.
