I'm not seeing the "parent's influence on sexuality" anywhere.
Psychology itself is useful for basic human interaction as Clovis said.
As for heterosexual parents, it's about how each parent treats the child, which parent is the dominant one, if one of them is absent from the life of the child for long periods of time, parents not being able to fulfill their supposedly 'designated' role (an unemployed father who can't bring money to the house, a mother who doesn't show love and compassion for her children etc.), one of parents disrespecting and looking down on other one and many, many other factors that I can't remember right now affect the child. That is what our Freudian professors claim and not my personal opinion, anyway. Psychology is so controversial. Let's change the subject or else we'll end up comparing psychoanalysis of Jung's life to Freud's.
Because you should never underestimate those inferior to you. It should be in Pro Tip thread.
Yeah, or you may end up getting mad at an ugandan chimpanzee outwitting you and start to mass report all his posts to remove the evidence of humiliation. :3

You know I haven't meant that, whatever. I agree with Clovis, knowing the psychology just a little can help much with the people sometimes. And psychology is controversial because it's so subjective, it's not the same for every person, just as everyone in the world has different DNA. There are only patterns which aren't absolutely correct, like in other exact science disciplines.
Has anybody else just felt randomly depressed for absolutely no reason?
Yes. Not now, but it happens, and I think it's fairly normal. For myself, it seems that my emotions sometimes want to balance themselves. If I spent a week of extreme joy, socially active, etc, I'll usually need to spend at least one day being moody, melancholic and alone. It's just like that.
I confess: this thread has too much serious discussion to it. I can't read a whole 2 pages of text sometimes just because I'm not interested in reading posts that are too predictable in their content.
