I can tell you that 3/5 on this thread will play a couple of weeks,maybe a month and they will quit despite they want a really hardcore relam,but ofc that's just a guess it may be 4/5,

Ok lemme breakdown my opinion about RDF.

1st.You want raids and pvp to be hardcore not general leveling (personally i dont mind as i know both horde and alliance inside out quest hubs) beacuse there is simply not enough hard core gamers to cover population of 5k people (even bloody AT didnt have 5k people in pvp and lets face it ,their scripts were top when it comes to pvp.)How do you expect then Pve realms to be on subpar to that ?Do you expect hardcore from each player?Judging from that you can intially scrap off alot of players.Content must be hard but then again not so hard that it turn off people away. (Icc buff being one such example where its gradually implemented).

2.Rdf itself brings something called randomness,SINCE this is fresh realm it will bring alot of people together,as some1 previously stated it will bind friendships,it will teach people how to play certain classess and it will teach certain people (again not everybody can be hardcore) dungeons and general wow gameplay.

3.Achievement hunters do achievment on max level.Why?Simple beacuse at lv 30 going thru something hard that takes alot of your time is not worth it when there are more pressing matters (like hitting level 60,gearing up,getting proffesions and prepping up for Outland (talking specifically about new Lordaeron ) )

4.Leveling should not be made such that is so hard that people will slowly turn away (lets face it ,new Lordaeron will have insta cap full+world pvp will make leveling so hard in first couple of weeks you will grind your teeth out,while that is ok for "hardcore gamers" such as me and i dont mind that dont forget about casual players that also sustain the realm alive.

5.While it is true that we are on progression realm Rdf really has no influence on such progression as its not binded to Raid /or Pvp.

And i personally would like to see RDF from 1-60 ONLY.Beacuse that is where its REALLY NEEDED.To teach new players things,to do dungeons and BE REWARDED.

And lets face it ,1 month will quickly passs.You dont want 80% of people being lv 45 (hence RDF helps with that).

Remember ,there is not enough hardcore people to sustain such realm.Unless you start calling peeps from Retail,i doubt you will see 5000 pro players (and in such case,you can expect all content to be cleared rather ULTRA FAST,which is another part of tale)

I'm of the same opinion, with the exception that I would only want RDF enabled (once the realm reaches ICC content) for max-level characters, or just specifically heroic dungeons - not normal ones.

Good points, may I?

1) Where as you are correct about the low amount of hardcore players, I believe there are still more than enough quests to get anyone from 1-60 in a decent amount of time. Granted not as fast as people like us that know each zone like it's our front garden, but it still gets the job done. They can then whislt levelling through a zone, keep checking whose about and try to get a party for the nearest dungeon. You'd be surprised how many people will happily join someone's party from whisper for, say, Deadmines whilst questing in Westfall/Moonbrook. More to the point, questing has always been the efficient way to level, while dungeons have just been that extra relief and fun added on to the side (not taking into account recent expacs and heirlooms).

2) With this randomness, you can get elitists in groups with new players. Afkers in groups with speedruners. This will cause bad arguements and a bad community from the start. Also no one has to worry, like they did before RDf, about misbehaving (flaming, ninjaing etc) and then being blacklisted from dungeon groups. Also with RDF's it's a case of, join in, kill ****, leave. No one needs to talk as long as they all know what they're doing, granted the new players will ask about mechanics and will get help and conversations (aslong as there is no dicks in the group). But with a premade group you can atleast try to chat on the way there whilst Auto-running or using flight paths.

3) Skipping this as I don't know which side it's backing up.

4) True, but a lot of casuals like to take it slow, not even play for a while, until the herd has moved far ahead racing for Realm first 80. They can then stray a few zones behind at their own pace. If they run into other players on the other faction that did the same then, it's just part of the game really. Guarantee the usual 'Give us a PvE realm' thread will pop up too though.

I added this poll by request of Rares13, not by desire of the Administration. The outcome of this poll won't affect the decision of keeping this feature disabled indefinitely. The poll will serve just to point how many people wished that to be available.

You guys can't say we don't listen to community. We do, but you guys must learn to hear a no, too. The realm was designed to be a "hardcore" one whereas RDF makes it easier to level up, being incompatible with our original idea. You can enjoy RDF on the other two realms just fine.

Reading the comments , I realize that over a half of those who voted "No" ,want RDF to be disabled for good, permanently . What's also sad is the fact that it needed moderators to come here and influence the votes ,just to even the number of "yes" .

If the outcome of this poll with not be unbalanced, then it is clear that things shouldn't be changed regarding this tool,also think about the fact that a huge number of people voted "no" just because they saw the moderators suggesting so,just as they did with the "gold drain mechanics" which eventually got rejected, so the "no" side has the upper hand thanks to special interference .
