Don't worry, a resolve to this problem will appear. I had the old MoP version the one without WoD models and I just had to replace the Wow.exe . Idk about those who redownloaded the whole client

  3. You are just running the wrong file, you should run it from the patched ones.

Btw the exe file could be blocked so u need to unblock it from properties.

  4. Has anybody else encountered an offline realm status in-game? That's the only thing preventing me from logging in, using the latest client. I managed to fix the latest client by exporting the ENGB folder out of the original download Warcraft folder. While doing this one of the files showed as corrupt, and it was unable to be exported out with the other files - and I ignored and deleted it. After that I used the original Warcraft MoP 5.4.8 engb files, and reapplied the ones from the original torrent, so the corrupted file became no longer corrupt as being the original file from the original 5.4.8 patch. After that I applied another 5.4.8 wow.exe, removing the ignore restrictions from the properties, and unchecking the read only checkbox.
Then I checked if the realmlist was set correctly, not overwritten. The realmlist is not checked as read only and it should be, and after going through all of that I finally resolved the start-up issue of the client, but now there is an issue with the mode of the realm, it shows off as it is offline, and I know that it isn't, because an hour ago I managed to log in using the older client, having applied the new patch over it, but the original 5.4.8 client shows offline (unlike the 5.4.2 overwrite patch up option)

  5. Since staff hadn't mentioned, but who don't want to download the whole game here is the most simple way.

    Things you need:

    1. Current wow with 5.4.2
    2. Wow.exe file from here https://mega.nz/#!JRMGgbbB!D0b0G9BMp...Vklv9blzYsEw-s

    What you need to do:

    1. Open your Mists of Pandaria folder
    2. Move your downloaded Wow.exe file there and overwrite the current one (which is 5.4.2)
    3. Launch new one wow.exe file.

That's it, gratz you have 5.4.8 version of wow!

P.S. if you face some critical errors or anything else that your wow crashes, make sure you go to place where your MoP folder held, right mouse button on in (on folder) - > Properties and make sure its NOT checked to "Read only" (aply to all folders and sub-folders).
Also some people got all keybinds removed, in order to bring them back, in WoW when you in game, go to Keybindings and there is checked opton "Character specific keybindings" uncheck them and your keybinds will be back.

I downloaded these files and after a while my antivirus went crazy, saying it detected a virus in x64 version of the file. WoW also strarted to start by itself randomly couple times. I deleted everything as I doubt this is safe. :/

  6. its easy to make an .exe FUD and get past virus total.

Has anyone done a looked at the packets?

Data/enGB/wow-update-enGB-17898.MPQ: World of Warcraft can’t make a required change to an archive file. Be sure you have write permission for the World of Warcraft folder or try running the game in administrator mode. For more information, see: https://battle.net/support/article/6910
