1. We have to play the game the way Blizzard designed it 15 years ago, otherwise we are "braindead apes". It seems many players do not agree with you. Reflect on that.

During this time even Blizzard reflected on it, which is why, for example, they completely removed SotA. There is absolutely no way that you will make hitting demolishers like a pinhata more entertaining than engaging in actual PvP with enemies.

HK farming is always used in these threads as a strawman argument. Those who refuse to afk in a tower in AV and instead want to play the game are accused of wanting to increase a stupid number in their character sheet, when most of the time they just want to do something fun. Afking is not fun, it has never been fun, and it will never be.

  2. Unironically, SotA is one of the best maps for HK farming. Defending a tower for 3 minutes while you burn it is AFK? That is news to me. Do you have ADHD? And no, it's no secret they just want to increase a number on their character sheet. I've spoken to several of them, and some, we shall not name names here, will literally AFK at a GY in AV just to farm HKs. Don't pretend you don't know who they are. That "most of the time" argument is 100% bull****.

  3. No, you are right that there are many players who play only to farm HKs, but they are a minority. They make a lot of noise because of how much they play and their notoriety, which is why the problem is overblown. But most people who don't want to do objectives are not HK farming. They are doing whatever they find fun.

  4. Which is exactly why we need to stop letting the minority have such a large impact on the community. The HK farmers use peer pressure and in-game AFK reporting to pressure others to farm GY with them. Most people are too docile to stand up and go against these bullies. From my experience, a good portion of players, maybe even the majority, will try to win by completing objectives in the absence of premades. For whatever reasons, IQ seems to scale inversely with premade size.

  5. If you guys want to win in battlegrounds and farm HK's = Join Alliance.
If you want to be camped on GY and lose games = Join Horde.

That's how it is and you guys can't change anything, you can only make threads like this for years and nothing will be solved.

Play it or quit game, your choice, just stop crying.

  6. Just to elaborate a little. For the time being, playing as Alliance with mercenary mode on gives me the best results (North America time zone). I have been winning more RBGs as Horde than as Alliance. This is from a dataset of almost 80 games. If BG is your thing, there's very little reason to play Horde. The ability to toggle mercenary mode on and off is a game changer. During peak hours, especially on weekends, it's best to skip RBG altogether and only queue for AB and EotS. These two maps give you the best chance to win as underdogs. At the end of the day, I'm still winning about 60% of my solo BGs, but I do feel bad for those who suffer from the imbalance.

  7. No, you are right that there are many players who play only to farm HKs, but they are a minority. They make a lot of noise because of how much they play and their notoriety, which is why the problem is overblown.
The problem is not overblown. Please join any AV in the high gear bracket. There is almost always one side which is GY camped and these poor bastards can't even stop resurrecting because the hyper sensitive anti afk warden forces them to either feed the opponents with their bodys or get kicked from the BG. The other side (usually with a premade) completely dominates the battle and chases players through the map like deers in a hunt. In the end the dominating side is bored because they have no challenge and the losing side is just pissed.
And these kind of AVs aren't a exception in the high gear bracket, 90% of them are like that!

Then join a BG in the mid tier bracket. Ppl do objectives, they communicate. They actually want to win the battle because they need honor for their gear. Most matches are even and challenging. Ofc there are also some HK farming brainless apes but that's around 10% of the players while in the high gear bracket it's around 90%.

I guess it's quite clear that the gaming experience is significant better when players have a incentive to win a BG.

  8. "the losing side is just pissed" is a feature, not a bug.

  9. "the losing side is just pissed" is a feature, not a bug.
Ok. Now you made it quite obvious that you are just trolling.

  10. "the losing side is just pissed" is a feature, not a bug.
Are you trolling him? lol. At least give the man a proper response instead of this nonsense. You are smarter than that.

  11. Make a rational argument on why the losing side of a match should be pampered.

  12. And I'm making a factual statement that your argument is ****. Try again.

I hope you understand this is tongue in cheek. You don't have to contribute if you have nothing to say, even if you feel his arguments are redundant.

  13. What would help here is to add BG wins in leaderboard, that would increase amount people people fighting for a win, to some degree at least. It could even become a good prestige for guilds, unlike HK's.

I like that idea but they need to fix BG statistics. Sometimes there's some type of overflow and the stats are not properly displayed. Also it will not count games you leave as losses.

  15. I'm not sure people would want to "farm" BG wins but who knows.
