Pretty new to wow in general and paladin. Can someone point me to a fine resource ?
I can suggest you use modifier keys, which allows you double or triple spells you can put on reachable buttons. Downside is that takes a bit to get used to, but when muscle memory takes over it's amazing.
Examples
/cast [nomod] Divine Protection
/cast [mod:Shift] Avenging Wrath
/use [mod:shift] Fleshrending Gauntlets
#showtooltip
/cast [nomod:Shift, target=Tankman] hand of sacrifice
/cast [mod:Shift, target=Offtankman] hand of sacrifice
#showtooltip
^Some people will tell you that mouseover is great, well it works, however it takes you to find targets on Grid, while this way is instant, downside being that you have to put in tank names, you can leave first line with "target=focus" and simply set mt as focus(quite nice in RDFs and stuff too).
/cast [nomod] Flash of Light
/cast [mod:Shift] Apocalypse's Advance
/cast [mod:alt, target=player] flash of light
#showtooltip
/cast [nomod] aura mastery
/cast [mod:Shift] Divine Shield
/cancelaura [mod:alt] divine shield
#showtooltip
Etc, you can work it into simple things like:
/cast [nomod:Shift] Judgement of Wisdom
/cast [mod:Shift] Judgement of Light
#showtooltip
/cast [nomod:Shift] consecration
/cast [mod:Shift] exorcism
#showtooltip
Btw I didn't quite understand what was your objective, but I hope these help
Here are mine
#showtooltip
/cast Aura Mastery
/say AM used - Aura 100% stronger for 6 sec.
Announces when you use AM to hell with coordination
#showtooltip
/startattack
/cast Consecration
/cancelaura Chaos Bane
/cancelaura Hand of Protection
Cancels SM aura and also HOP (in case your fellow raiders like to troll like mine do)
#showtooltip
/startattack
/cast Crusader Strike
/cancelaura Chaos Bane
/cancelaura Hand of Protection
/run local f = CreateFrame("frame",nil, UIParent);f:SetScript("OnUpdate", CombatLogClearEntries);
Same thing but also fixes combat log bug if you get it.
#showtooltip Divine Sacrifice
/cast Divine Sacrifice
/p Using DS to absorb party damage.
/in 10 /p DS over.
Announces when you use DS to hell with coordination and also when it's over
#showtooltip
/cancelaura Divine Shield
/cast Divine Shield
You spam this one and it will apply and then instantly clear your Bubble, or if you click it once it just uses bubble normally. Very useful to clear debuffs off yourself and then get back to doing dps. Also useful for tanking.
#showtooltip
/startattack
/cast Divine Storm
/cancelaura Chaos Bane
/cancelaura Hand of Protection
Similar to previous macros
#showtooltip
/startattack
/cast Hammer of Wrath
/cancelaura Chaos Bane
/cancelaura Hand of Protection
Again
#showtooltip
/startattack
/cast Exorcism
/cancelaura Chaos Bane
/cancelaura Hand of Protection
Again
#showtooltip
/startattack
/cast Judgement of Wisdom
/cancelaura Chaos Bane
/cancelaura Hand of Protection
Again
#showtooltip
/use !Frost resistance aura
This lets you use an aura (sub for Frost for whichever you like) even if someone else is already using it. Helps when you need to AM or want overlapping auras or better raid coverage
#showtooltip
/cast Lay on Hands
/s Used LoH on %t.
Just announces when you use it
#showtooltip
/use [nomod] Potion of speed
/use [mod:shift] Endless Mana Potion
/use [Mod:Alt] Endless Healing Potion
I like modifier macros for potions. Without a modifier it will use speed potion, if you hold down shift and click on it it will use Mana (this example is the alchemist version, change if if you're not an alchemist). Hold down alt for health. Note that even if you have this macro bound to, say Alt+3, it will still use Speed instead of health. You have to hold alt and click on it to use health.
#showtooltip
/cast redemption
/p Indomitable is casting Redemption on %t.
/ra Indomitable is casting Redemption on %t.
Lets the group know who is ressing who. That way you can recover from wipes faster
#showtooltip
/cast [mod:shift] Seal of Wisdom
/cast [mod:alt] Seal of Righteousness
/cast [mod:ctrl] Seal of Justice
/cast Seal of Light
Similar to the potion macro. This one is for the seals I don't use as often and therefore don't bother to bind. For me, 6 and 7 are Vengeance and Command respectively and I seal swap with those two. If I'm soloing some low level raid or a heroic, I might want light or wisdom.
/console CameraDistanceMaxFactor 10
Camera macro so you can zoom farther out. Makes it a lot easier to see raid mechanics (for example Flame Tsunami on OS)
#showtooltip
/use 13
You can put this on your bars for trinkets (instead of dragging the trinket to your bar). That way, if you swap the trinket around, your bars update themselves. You can also add "/use 13" to other macros to use trinkets. 10 is gloves (engineering), 11 is belt (enginnering, 13 and 14 and trinkets 1 and 2.
#showtooltip
/cast [modifier:alt, target=player] Lay on Hands; [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][harm][@player] Lay on Hands;
- Ability to do Lay on Hands just by doing a mouseover
#showtooltip
/cast [modifier:alt, target=player] Flash of Light; [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][harm][@player] Flash of Light;
- Mouseover Flash of Light
#showtooltip
/cast [modifier:alt, target=player] Cleanse; [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][harm][@player] Cleanse;
- Mouseover cleanse
#showtooltip
/cast [modifier:alt, target=player] Sacred Shield; [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][harm][@player] Sacred Shield;
- Mouseover Sacred Shield
#showtooltip
/cast [modifier:alt, target=player] Hand of Freedom; [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][harm][@player] Hand of Freedom;
- Mouseover Hand of Freedom
#showtooltip
/cast [nomod] Judgement of Light
/cast [mod:alt] Judgement of Wisdom
/startattack
You can swap places or put JoJustice instead one of them.
Mouseover macros might be useful more than specific target (you can still keep both) so in case you're required to HoF/Sacred etc someone who isn't a pre-definded. you can do it way faster over Grid etc.
I also have Hand of Protection, Hand of Sacrifice and Hand of Salvation all on mouseover so I suggest putting them like that as well. They all still work normally when you're not holding cursor over someone (you can freely cast stuff on yourself etc).
Also I did extensive testing and adding /train in all your macros will increase your DPS indirectly. It's because when you press skill you send a packet to server and /train emote sends another packet to different server, that is "chat-server". That makes the response faster on your skills because those servers are connected and ping normalizes right. You can gain 1000 DPS easily this way.

That is some seriously ugly coding and a lot of it is entirely nonfunctional.
Do not under any circumstance use castsequence to execute rotational spells.

Allows the buff to cycle again sooner, thus resulting in more shadow aoe bursts. Since Ret can get stacks very quickly, it can be considered a DPS gain.
why is the "[harm][@player]" in these, shouldn't it be [harm,@player]?
