They are "donating" -- but they are really "buying" advantages over you. They are paying to save themselves the time to earn gear.

I donated a fair amount over my time and I can safely say if Retail released Cata servers I'd happily go there even if it meant paying more than I do here. Sure many other donors could say the same with other xpac's. So please stop kidding yourself.
