Playing in BG's has me starting to notice that it's become saturated with multiboxers. I can't bring myself to believe that this is how BG's should be played. You can use the argument that we must allow it because blizz allowed it, but keep in mind blizz only allows this because there is a monetary incentive to allow it, they get $15x(number of accounts) for every box. However this is not the case in private servers. There is literally ZERO incentive to keep allowing this to happen.
There are a number of reasons that this is hurting the realm more than benefiting:
1.) It takes up BG spots, and that means it prevents other people from gearing up/having fun in BG's.
2.) How is this supposed to bring "skill" or "challenge" to have someone running around with 5+ characters on /follow doing the exact same thing as one another? It's not like you can even survive vs. them. It ruins the entire dynamic of the BG and results with just ONE person having all the fun.
3.) BG's should not be this easily carried by a single person, if retail was F2P then this would would be dealt with immediately.
4.) Low realm population has you against multiboxers SEVERAL times in a row and the only relief is when they go offline or stop queuing. This effect is amplified at night when the numbers are even lower.
5.) etc.....
The only way I can see multiboxing "help" the server is:
1.) Potential donations(?) I've personally never seen a multiboxer donate EVER; let alone on all accounts.
If you weigh the pros and the cons, it doesn't take a genius to come to the conclusion that multiboxing serves only as a detriment to the PvP environment. At the very least, meet us half-way and ban this behavior from BG's, but allow it in world PvP. I mean ffs if AT banned triple DPS in threes, then why is something like multiboxing, of all things, allowed to continue?
I would love to hear other people's opinions on the issue, remember to keep the discussion civil and respectful.
