1. Low fps on highend PC

    Hello,
I recently bought a new high-end PC and I'm currently experiencing relatively low fps.
    My specs are the following:
    CPU: I7 4770k
    GPU: EVGA Geforce 980 GTX
    GPU2: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
    Memory: 16GB 1600mhz
    Motherboard: Z97-A
    Operative System: Windows 8.1
    Nvidia driver: 353.06
    Monitor: 144hz Asus VG248QE

I am at a pretty stable 120-150fps in-game no matter what video settings I use. This applies to most ingame places, and it never goes above 160fps even when turning off all addons and looking into the ground with alt+z. I had a worse PC before with windows 7 and was getting better results than I am now, which seems very odd.
GPU usage hovers around 20-30%, and CPU 20%.
In newer games like GTA 5 & Witcher 3 I can run with ultra settings and still get about the same fps as I do in 3.3.5 WoW for reference.

I'm wondering if anyone else have had similar issues or got any ideas as to why this might be happening? I'm thinking it might be a driver or operative system related?

    regards,
    Drmongrel

  2. Wotlk is very old and you have new pc that is problem it is just not compatible , maybe you can change something with different drivers for your graphic card but I am not sure that will help.
Maybe some 1 have solution, try google it maybe you found something.

  3. Found the solution.
Incase anyone else has this problem in the future:
Go into your World of Warcraft/WTF folder and open Config.wtf
Make sure maxFPS is set to 0, like this:
    SET maxFPS "0"

I'm now getting ~250 fps average instead of 150 :)
