Yes, the server will be configured as a PvP one, where you can be attacked by other players despite how you flag yourself.
Disregard Ayame, who's simply butthurt over the fact we aren't setting dates in stone for either PvE or PvP content.

By removing the RDF, you force people to band together manually, and run to the dungeon manually. This lets you experience the world on a whole new level, and forces more interaction between you and other players who share the world you are in. I personally don't remember running to instances too much (I started in January of 2009 and didn't have a max level character until after ICC had dropped) but I always wanted to try this.

Another small thing that would be nice is that everyone will know WHERE THE STUPID ENTRANCE TO THE DUNGEON IS! because they have actually been there before. BRD *cough* *cough*.

"'whole new lvl" ? lets not exaggerate things... i mean wow, so now u will see "LF ppl for heroic" ... that was happening in the past lordaeron and it wont really make difference with the "socialism". u got some higher chance to talk to ppl like that coz u need to decide who will need to come summon but between us, there were raids too and u can "socialize" in those raids, why must it be just heroics? :D im fine with either disabled or enabled, but i want a daily reward, and hope there will be 1.

Hehe you can pretty much forget about the daily reward cause that was apart of the RDF idea... It would be really weird to implement something that would just give you a bonus reward (that's outside the game) for running dungeons... The only real thing that gives extra emblems is the weekly quest but that's related to raiding :). I don't recall wrath having some bonus reward for doing a dungeon (like a dungeon quest for emblems outside POS/FOS/HOR)

Yeah sorry I didn't mean it like that, it just kind of rolled off the keyboard lol. I meant it more as a saying then anything else. I do believe it helps aid in the immersion a bit, especially at lower levels where most of your interaction with other players seems to be with a random group of people you run a dungeon with and then never speak to again, only to return to the lonely and arduous task of solo questing.

U got some bonus if u did daily random dungeon via RDF, but thats it :P

if u played TBC u must remember that 2 NPC in the lower city of shatt were giving quests and rewarded emblems but yeah... not an higher tier emblem :(
i think that the server need some bonus daily reward... thats what keeps ppl staying here, there is a reason all the games now trying to implement some daily reward method. if there is a bonus daily reward for a bg win (arena points), there needs to be a bonus for PvE too to earn in daily basis
personally if they remove the RDF they need at least to find solution for the daily PvE reward.
i will be glad if some1 from warmane will answer if they will do some kind of reward or not (i need to prepare mentally)

Need a little clarification.

Realm PvE
Means that you can choose to be flagged as PvP or not. If u are flagged, you can be hit from the opposite PvP-Flagged-on faction.
If you don't PvP-flag yourself, you cannot hit, be hit by anyone.

Realm PvP
No PvP-Flag system. You can always hit, be hit by the opposite faction.

This realm will go PvP. I'm pretty sure about this.

I'll make a little summary about this now. But please, for your next question, use the search options.

RDF was enabled when ICC was released. So 'till ICC will be released they WON'T enable RDF.
Now... it is not sure if they will enable RDF after ICC. This is still unknown. They are thinking to don't release RDF at all.

This (non)feature will make you enjoy more the world, play and stay more with friends and create solide party and friends in game. It will make you waste a lot of time, this is sure. But THIS is WoW as blizzard made it. This was the really intention of sparing all the dungeons around the world. Exploring, make a party of new people and play hours togheter to reach the destination.

I understand the socializing part, but for some of us who got other things to do than play WoW 12 hours per day is RDF really good help, since you dont have to look for group with it for hours, but nevermind. Uh going from Nexus to Utgard Pinnacle (doing all the heroics open) did not take 12 hours.... It taked max 2-3 HOURS to do a HC chain (as they were called back then). That counts out the time to look for a group and wiping. Yeah i can't wait either :)

The problem with lacking RDF is obviously not traveltime. Is finding a group. If you are a dps only class, you could just queue. Sure it takes like 30 mins but at least you can do stuff in the meantime. Without RDF you need to spent 30-60mins spamming global to put a group together. Much fun , many socialising , especially for those with a limited time to play.

PS: Im not sure why its believed taking decisions based on a small vocal minority would be a good thing. Ive seen lately several polls regarding Lord, they have 200-300 votes max.3-4k+ people will play on the server probably.

just do whatever u do and when u see some1 in global searching for DPS, whisper him. it was just like that in past lordaeron, just coz ppl wanted high gear in heroics to end it faster

What vocal minority? If you actually saw the polls and read the posts there, you should be fully aware those weren't going to have any validity from the start. Not having RDF was a design feature decided by us. It goes against the kind of experience we want for Lordaeron and so it's disabled, end of story. Maybe in the future it will get enabled, but I wouldn't be surprised if it never did or only did a long time from now. All of those 3-4k people you consider to probably be going to play there are expected to know and fully understand that.
