1. PVP in the lower levels.

well as the title says all i think pvp in the lower lvls in this case till 60, then 70, till lvl 80..will be heavily dominated by prot warriors, prot pallys, hunters.....
prot warrior once he gets warbringer he will be unstoppable for sure, kinda same with prot pally when he gets avenger shield, and hunters mainly cos there is no easy way for most classes to close in distance...
wat do u guys think ???? pvp will be heavily unbalanced in d lower lvls its a cause of concern for us rogues..

  2. pretty unfair but whatever, just 1-2 months

  3. Twinking was never balanced and people still did that.

  4. Dem nasty prot wars, never on enough low hp to oneshot with ambush ? :((

  5. prot wars werent that good until mop when the scaling of shield slam was insane. The scaling of revenge is still high in wotlk but the enemy needs to dodge.

  6. @ Marukaska, scaling of revenge at 60 is very high, and its usable if the warrior blocks/dodges/perrys (so against a melee usable every 6ish secconds) with just some blue/few epics at lvl 60 on a 3.3.5 server ive gotten 3.5k crits with no zerker buff on and this hits 2 targets...

at 60 prot warriors with there mobility + high dmg + silences/stuns will dominate pvp, as well as ret paladins hitting like trucks and insta flash healing themselves for over half their hp.

other classes like shadow priests and hunters will also do well in the 60 bracket....

some classes that wont do great until 80 will be mages, warlocks, shamens, rogues (until cloak of shadows)

from the other progressive servers i have been a part of from the start at 80 its very different to how it was in retail due to how different gear/spec's are however healers that stack reziliance are very hard to kill but there mana consequently runs out a lot faster, some classes that will just reck face thou when ppl r in starting gear at 80 will be ret paladins, prot warriors, + arms warriors, rogues (not many people will have trinkets for a while = gg 10 sec opener) but as far as balencing goes by the time everyone is in full season 5 gear things start to even out how you expect and stay relatively the same as it is in season 8 so dont base your choice of character around just how op you will be at the start of the expansion.

just my thoughts and musings hopefully it helps answer some of the questions people have

  7. I'm not so worried about the low lvls pvp, it will last no longer than one month and still many players will have to fight just to reach lvl 60 in time. We will face a lot of world pvp during the first months after the relase of the realm, mostly because the rdf tool will not be avaible and people will be forced to travel to the istances.

Thinking about the pvp at lvl 80, I suppose the casters and rogues will basically dominate during the first raid tiers. Arms warriors will have a hard time, at least since we will reach the relentless season. Time to reroll prot.

  8. All you need with a rogue is a nice stack of energy tea+ the trinket from ZG rocks. Like 5-6 ambushes under one shadowdance. Op like hell. There are no weak classes with woltk talent at lvl 60, I was playing on other server for years like that... You have to use your imagination how many on use items can help you too...

prot war is broken there, definitely. With some nice gear you can dish out like 4,5k revenge oneshotting people. Arms can wreck your face with noobstorm and mortal strike. Fury is an interesting option, still somewhat weaker than arms.

ret pal is strong, however making a hybrid ret with increased judgement damage from the holy tree, dropping divine storm makes you hit for 2k judgement with some nice gear + 2,5k exorcism oneshotting people under 1 gcd (requires gear with str+int which is well provided by the vanilla gears (D2/Tiers and Grand marshal gear, and onehand+shield/2h switching for maximum pwnage). Providing insane instant heals and support, superior to holy in every way. This build is focused on pure holy damage making armor wearers scream in pain.

locks can faceroll you with conflagration and chaos bolt, kinda oneshotting you.

Mages can make short work of you under a blink of an eye, however they are sometwhat fkd if met with some resistance.

Cement shaman can obliterate you with a single stormstrike, provided they use a strong 2h mace like grand marshal´s.

Hunters can destroy you with chimera shots+readiness.

Priests are somewhat weaker, can be solved with 5.5k hp and some protection from teammates, still disc´s mana cannot be depleted if maintained properly, thanks to low mana costs and immense amount of mana pool.

All in all, telling that some classes are weaker is utter bll****. Experience it out in full grand marshal and you will see. (ofc everything is only true if you HAVE SOME NICE GEAR otherwise you are fkd.

You're messing up Revenge with Overpower. Portection warrior's burst is actually better than arms' but there's no sustained damage and no healing reduction in prot.

  10. You dont need it, get the Silent fang from Scholomance, procc is crazy and 8sec silence on hit... makes casters cry in the corner, also you can simple slam the face of anyone near to you, shield slam+revenge is sheer overkill provided they both crit. And crit is like 10crit rating=1% crit at lvl 60.
