There are millions of other reports regarding the same topic... and we're constantly reminded by people (that do not use the search function) that there are issues with nodes in Outland. I think the developers are aware.

That report is 2 months old man, and still with an "Unconfirmed" status. No news whatsoever from the Devs. Did you go and up vote that report?

Well that's the answer. Complaining on the forum about it won't make it magically resolve. Especially now, when tbc is long over and the atention is focused on late-game content.

Yep focus on late-game content because for sure you can skip Outland without leveling mining there and jump straight to Northend and get all the ores you can.

Outland mining: Mine/smelt fel iron. At the point you should go to nagrand and mine adamantite, go kill earth elementals and mine those.

Yeah, it's a bit frustrating, but not impossible. Did you know that dungeons have mining nodes too? The most recommended is The Steamvault, it has about 6-7 nodes of Adamantite and 5-6 Fel Iron Deposits. Farm it about 10 times and you'll gather 150+ ores, and if you're lucky more than 200 of each.
